Ever seen pipe freezing in action before?

Putting a smoke detection system to the real test. Our team, Nigel and Jai, recently carried out live smoke testing at a property in Bondi, isolating the Fire Indicator Panel (FIP) and Alarm Signalling Equipment (ASE) to run the system through its paces under real conditions.

Using Flamestop smoke bombs, the team tested how quickly smoke reaching a curtain would trigger detection. Smoke reached the detector, activation occurred, and the alarm sounded through to the FIP/ASE in just 2 minutes 45 seconds, with the detector positioned around 2.5 metres from the curtain in an enclosed unit with doors and windows closed.

The full two-hour test also confirmed no residual smoke or false alarms after the fact.

Great work Team!
