Tonight we hear from our NSW rider who is flying the flag as our only male rider
"My name is Aaron Newham I am 15 years old
My hobbies include: basketball, boxing/kick boxing, sport of any kind and keeping fit. I have been riding horses since I could walk and enjoy competing in a vast amount of different disciplines with my horses, some of my favourite disciplines include team sorting, campdrafting & most of all mounted games. I joined Londonderry pony club in zone 19 at the age of 2 & started mounted games at the age of 5,
with my first state competition at the age of 7. I have been to numerous state events for mounted games in which I have been placed very high. Last year my team took out State champion and this year my team took out reserve champion. I have been part of the NSW Pony club Mounted games squad for the past 2 years and on the winning NSW team at the National Prince Phillip Pony Club mounted games in Victoria last year. I also enjoy competing with Mounted Games Australia(MGA) out side of pony club taking home many ribbons, my greatest MGA achievements are National Individual Champion Under 12yrs, National Pairs Champion under 15yrs. Mounted games is a big part of my life in which I have devoted a lot of time and effort towards and plan on continuing to do so for many years to come."
