These beautiful windows set in the dusty pink of the mud brick were originally the ticket windows from Willunga Hall. A sketch of the windows is pressed in copper foil on the back label of our 2020 Ticket Window Shiraz. Beautiful piece of local history.

Enjoying a glass of Grenache overlooking the grounds of our cellar door (opening mid 2024).

Our single vineyard Grenache, we make this amazing wine from dry grown vines that are nearly 100 years old.

This wine has great fruit weight and generosity with good texture and is supported by fine, velvety tannins and bright acidity. Brad’s fave. Available online.

The Shadow Creek McLaren Vale vineyard is so much more than just it’s vines!

We have focussed on improving the diversity of the mid row sward to ensure the soil is covered which limits heat pressure on the vines and reduces water use. It also feeds the soil, beneficial critters and improves soil structure.

Grazing sheep breeds who enjoy a varied diet and actively seek out weeds has also limited tractor passes and reduced diesel use. We haven’t sprayed under the shiraz vines for many a year, preferring the native ryegrass to grow up under the vines. The ryegrass then lays down in the heat just before harvest. Pretty amazing stuff working with nature to produce amazing wines.

Cellar Door is underway with planned mid 2024 opening. It’s a beautiful site overlooking Turraparri Creek.

Made with dry grown grapes from 90 year old vines from our Foggo vineyard.

Colour: Deep cherry red with a bright hue.
Aroma: Dark plum and cherry fruit supported by attractive spice, anise and savoury notes.
