Serious fun 🍷 Family-run, South Australian wines for every celebration, inspired by Elena Brooks’ steel-cap boots and emergency high heels.

We may not take ourselves too seriously, but we are serious about crafting wines you’ll love. Returning from a ‘knees-up’ at midnight, mid vintage, she managed to kick off one high heel and slip back into a boot’ just as the cellar crew cried out, ‘Run Sister Run’; and exactly then our winemaker and label took flight! The stiellotto and boot are Sister’s Run; an independently owned and operated winery with a fierce commitment to making the best wines we can from family vineyards. We don’t take ourselves as seriously as we take our wines, but agree with Elena, all you need to know about wine is the five ‘V’s and remember the best wine is the wine you like.

We keep coming back to Grenache, and especially this one, grown for us by Fred Howard in his St Anne's Vineyard in McLaren Vale.

This w**e captures the sunshine of the local Mediterranean climate, and the typicall vibrant fruit flavours of Grenache grown in McLaren Vale make this a go-to w**e fo those who prefer a medium-bodied red.

Why do w**emakers love to see their w**es matched with food?

We're glad you asked. The right food and w**e match lifts both way beyond their individual gastronomic experience. There is an almost mystical, yet perfectly explicable set of reactions occurring here.

Why the tradition of red w**es and meat? Because meat fats will soften the tannins in a red w**e. You'll find the w**e all the smoother.

Why the traditions of white w**es and fried foods? Because the opposite is happening - balanced acidity in the w**e cleanses the palate and cuts through fats and rich sauces in the dish.

Frankly, we find the whole thing fascinating, even more so when you consider the old rule of thumb that what grows together goes together. So you don't even need to worry about the chemistry, just go with the varieties the locals love with their pizza, seafood, pasta or whatever.

It's all about enjoying the experience. Have yourself some (serious) fun!

Work steps up a gear in the vineyard at this time of year. We'll be watching as the buds burst, feeding and cossetting the grapes to come and watching for thirsty pests to make sure they don't drink your fill of vintage 2027.

We'll be watching the skies for late frost and early heat. So much to do!

Barossa and Riesling is a partnership known and respected by countless numbers of w**e lovers. You'll find subtle aromas and vibrant flavours abound in this match, made wth grapes grown at St Petri's in Eden Valley by Trent Reilly.

The stories we tell of the w**es we make are stories of people and place. That's why our w**e labels give star billing to who grew the grapes and where they grew them. Because it is the vines, the vigneron and the vintage that tell the story. Every bottle and every story is unique to that place and that year. Seriously, isn't that amazing?
