ASIC has recently issued an alert regarding the rise in investment scams via fake investment companies or financial investment firms. According to the alert, scammers are making contact through Gmail and Outlook email accounts. The biggest clue to confirming the legitimacy of the firms is if the contact details do not match the information on the legitimate firm’s website.
