Why I Created Rostering Solutions Consultants
After more than 26 years working in healthcare, I came to realise that one of the biggest challenges organisations face isn’t always a lack of staff—it’s how those staff are managed.
Throughout my career as a nurse, manager and roster coordinator, I witnessed the pressure placed on healthcare leaders every single day. Directors of Nursing, managers and business owners are expected to balance budgets, maintain compliance, manage leave, fill vacancies, support staff wellbeing and still deliver safe, high-quality care. Too often, rostering becomes a daily crisis rather than a strategic workforce function.
I created Rostering Solutions Consultants because I knew there had to be a better way.
My goal wasn’t simply to build rosters. It was to create workforce solutions that allow organisations to operate efficiently while supporting the people delivering care.
A well-designed roster impacts everything. It reduces unnecessary overtime, improves staff satisfaction, strengthens compliance, minimises agency costs and ultimately improves outcomes for the people receiving care.
I understand the challenges because I’ve lived them.
I’ve worked on the floor as a nurse, managed teams, coordinated staffing across complex services and experienced the frustration of trying to make impossible staffing situations work. That practical experience allows me to see beyond the roster itself and identify opportunities to improve workforce planning, governance and operational efficiency.
Rostering Solutions Consultants exists to partner with organisations that need experienced workforce support without the expense of employing another full-time manager.
Whether it’s aged care, hospitals, community health, disability services, correctional facilities or any organisation operating a shift-based workforce, my focus is simple:
* Build sustainable, compliant rosters.
* Reduce workforce risk.
* Improve operational efficiency.
* Support managers.
* Help staff achieve a healthier work-life balance.
* Ensure organisations are prepared for future workforce demands.
* Assist with roster system implementations and staff education.
I believe good rostering is far more than filling shifts. It is one of the most powerful operational tools an organisation has.
When people are rostered well, they perform better, feel more valued and provide better service. When managers are supported with efficient systems and expert workforce advice, they have more time to focus on leadership rather than constantly solving staffing problems.
Rostering Solutions Consultants was created to provide that support.
My commitment is to work alongside organisations as a trusted partner, delivering practical, evidence-based workforce solutions that improve both business performance and employee wellbeing.
Because great organisations are built by great people—and great people deserve great workforce planning.
