At Nous, we partner with CareerTrackers to provide paid internship opportunities to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students, supporting structured pathways into professional services and consulting.

Davon is one such student. In this video, he reflects on his internship journey, working across a diverse range of projects and sectors to building his consulting toolkit.

We have supported Davon’s journey closely. As his performance coach, Danny Godstone, shares: “I’ve been fortunate to be Davon’s performance coach during his time at Nous. It has been gratifying to see him go from strength to strength, building his consulting toolkit and making a real impact on multiple projects across the business.

Personally, having the opportunity to work with Davon through the CareerTrackers program has been fantastic and has helped me develop a greater appreciation of the value of embedding lived experience in the way we think about and solve for complex policy problems.”

Our work with CareerTrackers forms part of a wider, ongoing commitment to working alongside and learning from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As Principal Rodney Williams, who leads our First Nations practice, notes: “At Nous, we believe programs like CareerTrackers create vital opportunities for First Nations tertiary students to develop professionally and build meaningful careers. These internships are a stepping stone to developing future leaders and strengthening our First Nations capability.”

Through partnerships like CareerTrackers, we continue to invest in capability, relationships and long-term change.

Over the last few weeks, our Australian Nousers have been collecting items and filling bags for 's it's in the bag program.

provides a bag full of essentials to girls, women, and mums and bubs spending the holiday season in domestic violence refuges or homeless shelters.

At Nous, we're proud to support Share the Dignity. Everyone deserves access to period products and other essential items, and we hope that our donations provide some joy and comfort to people who are experiencing fear, uncertainty, and loneliness.

Collection points are open until the end of this month. If you'd like to get involved and help Share the Dignity reach 150,000 women and girls, visit their website to check out how you can get involved, what you can donate, and where you can find the closest donation point: https://www.sharethedignity.org.au/itsinthebag

And a very big thank you to our Nous Women’s Network for coordinating the collection process across our offices. We’ve packed over 60 bags so far and we look forward to ending the week with a few more!

Our team were thrilled to attend the 2025 Good Design Awards last week.

The Awards have been Australia’s highest international design accolade for over six decades and celebrate work that makes the world a better place. It was an honour to see the national toolkit we developed in partnership with the National Office for Child Safety recognised in this year’s awards. The project was acknowledged for its human-centred design process, setting a new benchmark for innovation in social impact design and its long-lasting, positive impact for the sector and community.

We are proud to work alongside organisations to make real change and drive positive influence. The team were inspired to see such impactful work being recognised in Australia’s most prestigious design awards.

Across our Australian offices last week, Nousers wore their favourite purple fits to celebrate Day, a national initiative that champions LGBTQIA+ young people and promotes safe, inclusive environments where everyone feels respected and valued.

This year's theme, “Bold voices, Bright futures,” reminds us that empowering young people to speak up and be heard is essential to building a future where everyone can thrive authentically.

Thank you to our Nous Proud Team for creating spaces to support conversations that matter!
