Today, our Canada team took time to recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day by reflecting on what reconciliation really means and on the role we can each play in contributing to meaningful change.

For Nous, reconciliation connects closely to our purpose of positive influence. It means listening to and learning from Indigenous peoples to build relationships that are grounded in truth, respect and meaningful partnership.

We recognize the lasting impacts of Canada’s residential schools and honour the survivors, the children who never returned home, their families and communities.

Reconciliation is ongoing. Today is an important opportunity to pause and reflect, while continuing the work of learning and taking action.

Across Nous, we marked Wear It Purple Day with our favourite purple outfits and snacks, but also most importantly with conversations about what helps people feel seen, supported and able to be themselves.

Our Purple Perspectives Wall invited Nousers to reflect on identity and belonging. The responses highlighted the power of listening to help create workplaces and services where people do not need to leave parts of themselves behind.
