It's been a LONG TIME coming but here is a heartfelt, raw and honest from .
Now, admittedly Jan sent me this reflection a few months ago, so her motherhood journey has obviously continued from here ... 🤣 we might need a version 2 soon.
Though, what I admire about Jan's reflection is the pure honesty around how it all can be, when for some, they "finally have fall pregnant" or "finally have a baby" after loss and/or infertility.
All too often we hear comments like, "oh be grateful that ...", or "at least you can get pregnant" or "you have other children", etc.
And whilst some of these comments may be true ... it does not take away from what parents are feeling right then and there in that present moment.
So a timely reminder to allow people to be ... and simply hold space ... ✨️
Thank you for sharing your story and for being an incredibly strong who shares many reality, so hopefully people feel less alone 🤍
