Is a Titanium handlebar right for you?

Here's how to know:

1. Hand & arm fatigue: If your grip loosens on long descents or your palms ache during a ride, a more compliant bar can help. And we don't mean small percentage "compliance" like some big brands claim; we mean real flex under load that reduces impact on your body. Our Ti bars have gone head-to-head with the best and consistently test 30% more than carbon and alloy. If you want a stiff bar, this isn't for you.

2. Poor wrist angle: Most bars run 9° sweep - great for descending, elbows out, but it puts your wrists at an awkward angle when seated or climbing. If you spend more time in the saddle than railing descents, try 15°. The best of both sweet spot is 12°. We make the only 12° and 15° Ti bars for modern MTB on the market, with multiple rise options.

3. Hard-wearing: If you're sick of short-life parts, Ti has outstanding fatigue life vs alloy and far better damage resistance than carbon. Scratches buff out with a quick rub of a Scotch-Brite pad, so that brushed finish always looks sharp.

4. High strength: Our latest model is 30% stronger and, in extreme overload, will bend noticeably before it breaks. Carbon often gives no signs of compromise before failure; aluminium can bend but is prone to cracking from shorter fatigue life.

5. Sexy finish: If you don't like talking about bikes, it's not for you. Our brushed finish draws stares and starts conversations. Life's too short to ride boring bikes.

Is a Titanium handlebar right for you?

It’s not always the right decision for everyone, so here’s a few good ways to work out if it’s right for you:

1. Hand and arm fatigue or pain: If you find your grip loosening towards the end of a long descent, or your palms hurting after a few minutes into a ride - a more compliant handlebar can help dramatically. And we’re not talking about claimed “compliance” like some of the big brands; we mean proper flex under load that reduces impacts on your body, resulting in less fatigue. Our Ti handlebars have gone head-to-head with the best and consistently perform 30% more compliant than carbon and aluminium options. If you want a stiff handlebar, then it’s probably not for you.

2. Poor wrist angle: this ties into the point above; pain can also come from bad wrist angles from your handlebars not being suited to the type of riding you do. Most handlebars have a 9-degree sweep, which is great for descending and allows you to get your elbows out. But when sitting or climbing, it puts the wrist at an unnatural angle, which can introduce strain. If you spend more time in the saddle than you do railing descents, a 15-degree sweep might be better for you. A good middle ground is 12 degrees, giving you the best of both worlds. Luckily for you, we make the only 12 and 15 degree Ti handlebars for modern MTB on the market with multiple rise options.

3. Hard-wearing: if you’re sick of short-life components that don’t last, Ti is well known for its incredible fatigue life compared to aluminium, and hard-wearing damage resistance compared to carbon. Scratches and marks clean up with a quick rub from a Scotch-Brite pad so you can always maintain that sexy brushed Ti finish.

4. High strength: if you worry about failures, our latest model has 30% more strength and, in the most extreme cases of overload, will bend noticeably before it breaks. Carbon often won’t show signs of compromise before failure, and aluminium will sometimes bend but can be subject to cracking from a much shorter fatigue life.

5. Sexy brushed finish: if you don’t like talking about bikes, Ti is probably not for you. Our Ti handlebars never fail to draw stares, generate interest and spark conversations. Life’s too short to ride boring bikes - so build a bike you love.
