A very good morning to the page followers 😊

Well we are back for the ACTA National English Sporting, National Compak Championship and the inaugural FITASC Compak Grand Prix

Fifty traps in total for the events, one hundred and twenty target presentations and six days of shooting for those that have entered.

All the equipment has been cleaned and serviced so let’s hope we have a trouble free event

Really humbled to be part of this and we now hope those shooting enjoy what has been presented. All to the FITASC Compak rules as well.

Special thanks to Malcolm and Helen Dyson and Michael Kruger Davis who have been here assisting in this massive undertaking and the ACTA for letting me be part of this. You all rock 😊

Good luck to those who are at the championships and I hope you enjoy what is on offer

• The competitor then shoots at the 3 single targets on the menu with the Referee throwing the 3 singles on stand 2 in rotation.

Want to know how Inline Compak Sporting works?

Here are the rules and a link to a helpful video below, This is the On Report system

Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions.

🔸 Compak with 3 Singles and One Double on Report 🔸

Target Viewing Sequence at start of each Day or after a prolonged stoppage.
• Competitor No. 1 enters Stand One and the Referee then shows all of the six targets.
• The Referee then calls competition and moves to stand 2.
• The competitor shoots the 3 single targets on the menu with the Referee throwing 3 singles on Stand Two in rotation.
• The Referee then throws the 3rd single from stand five, this will be the first target of the double in stand one. The shooter then shoots the double on report. The Referee then shows the double on Stand 2
• Both competitor and Referee then move to the right.
• Shooter No. 2 then enters Stand 1 and proceeds to shoot the singles in rotation with shooter 1 and the Referee.
• The Referee then shows to the shooter in stand 1 the 3rd single from stand 5 which will be the first target of his double. Both competitors 1 and 2 shoot their double with the referee then showing the stand 3 double.
• All then move to the right and competitor No. 3 enters the Stand 1 and they then shoot all singles in rotation. Referee also shows the Single targets from Stand 4.
• Prior to the shooting of the doubles the referee shows the 3rd Single from Stand 5.
• Continue with this format of target presentation until all 5 Stands have a Competitor.

When the Compak is 1 single and 2 Doubles on Report.
• The Sequence is similar to above until the Shooter in Stand 1 prepares to shoot their 2nd Double, the Referee will throw the last target of the Stand 5 Double for Shooter No. 1, it will be the first target on the menu in his Double.
Exiting each Layout at end of Day
• As the last competitor enters the stand all competitors shoot the sequence as per normal.
• They then move to the right and the Referee enters stand 1.
• The 4 remaining competitors shoot their 3 single targets.
• Prior to shooting of the doubles the Referee will throw the 2nd target of the double for stand 1, this will be the 1st target of the double on Stand 2. The competitors then will shoot their doubles in turn.
• All competitors will then move right and repeat the process until all competitors are finished.
• When exiting on a Compak with 1 Single and 2 doubles on report the referee must always show the first target of both doubles in turn to the competitor with an empty stand on their left.

Hello to my page followers

A bit of a small hiatus but we are back!

Been asked by the Australian Clay Target Association (ACTA) to be part of the Beretta Open Compak event at the national ground at Wagga Wagga in NSW.

Eight layouts of Compak have been set and with over two hundred and forty entries and a sixty thousand dollar prize pool supplied by Beretta Australia is on the table. A fantastic investment into the Compak discipline and it shows that the ACTA are on the right track.

Very happy to be involved in assisting in this event and good luck to everyone one competing on the weekend. It will be a great event 😃

Good evening the page followers.

It’s been a little while since the last post but needless to say it’s been worth it.

Took a drive down to the beautiful South Gippsland Shire to visit the Korumburra Gun Club who wish to run the Compak Sporting discipline and value add to their shoot program.

May I say the club might be small but the potential for Compak is a very good one especially with a layout that could be a very good draw card to those that choose to attend.

The club will be testing the Compak format this coming Saturday with shooters from the Gippsland Sports Acadamy attending. I trust this goes well for all involved on the day.

Stay close to the page for updates as the club intends to begin competition events in the not too distant future.

Good afternoon to the page followers.

The weekend at Wangaratta Clay Target Club was a massive success for all those involved.

My thanks to all the members that assisted and those that helped administrate the In Line Compak format used on the day.

Fourty seven competitors turned up to compete which was just perfect for the two layout, one hundred target format. Congrats to Nate Palubiski on his stellar 96/100 HOA and all the other winners and place getters.

Hopefully this model can be used by more of the trap and s***t clubs that now have the Compak discipline available to them.

Thanks also to the following companies and organisations that assisted with the loan of infrastructure for the day at Wangaratta:

Victorian Sorting Clays Association
Kivtronics P/L
Mornington Clay Target Club

As they say. From little things, big things grow.

Please feel free to contact me if you want advice of assistance in conducting a Compak Sporting event at your club in the future.

Greetings to all my page followers 😋

After a small hiatus we are back on the beautiful Phillip Island assisting Westernport F&G with a full service and clean down of their equipment.

It’s all part of getting the club ready for their annual two day event and round four of the Compak 500 in late September and events beyond.

We wish them well and thank them for allowing us to provide this service to help them with their events in the future

Well it’s been an exciting few weeks for the MTSD team. From cleaning down spoting clay equipment to designing and setting sporting clay layouts.

Now the next venture begins.

Off to Perth to give a presentation to the WA Sporting Clays Association to the clay target directors of that fine state.

The aim ito help lift the standard of their events at a selection event and state championship level and hopefully make them more competitive when their members travel to the eastern states.

An article has all ready been penned on the trip. Let’s hope it proves fruitful to those that attend. Photos will be posted on the day of the presentation. Going to be a scorcher too 😊😥
