What's the biggest shed you can put up in Victoria without a permit?
Ten square metres. That's roughly 3m x 3m, no taller than 3 metres, and tucked behind the front of the house. Under that, no building permit needed. Your council can still have planning rules for your street, so it's worth a quick check.
Go bigger, and you usually do need one. A garage, a farm shed, a workshop: that's permit territory, and the paperwork is the part most people dread.
It doesn't have to be. When we quote your shed we can assist with the permit side, including the engineering documents your council will want to see.
Not sure where yours lands? Put the size you're after in the comments and we'll tell you what's likely.
