For those people whose pools are coming up to 4 years old, you will soon be receiving a letter from your council advising you need to submit a certificate of barrier compliance. This is a process to make sure all components of your pool barrier are working properly and compliant with the relevant legislation. Many Victorian pools are required to submit their barrier compliance certificate by 1st June 2023. We service all areas of Melbourne and have helped hundreds of pool owners understand the rules and get their compliance certificate. First inspection is $297 (inc gst). This includes the inspection and the certificate if the barrier complies with all the applicable Australian Standards. If it is non compliant you will receive a written report detailing all the non compliances and whilst onsite we will discuss options of how you can achieve compiance.
If a follow up inspection is required the cost will be $99

All swimming pools, old or new need to have a compliant pool barrier. All pool owners should have registered their pools with council by now and should have a received a letter from council. The letter lets the Inspector know which Australian Standard to apply to your pool and also gives the date by which you must provide the council with the Certificate of Barrier Compliance (CBC). MG Inspect can inspect your pool barrier and advise what work is needed to make the barrier comply with the relevant standard or issue the CBC if it complies.
