As you can see on the photo, TPU band is even thinner and lighter but durable.
Thus, if you get 1 kg of TPU bands, you will get over double amounts than rubber bands!

How are we recycling our TPU products?
Here is an example at Group JCA.
One of our clients manufacture semiconductor chips.
As TPU bands are anti-static electronic application, they use TPU bands to stack their products.
1. After using the TPU bands, they send them back to us.
2. We shred and crystallise them.
3. Melt them at over 150 degrees
4. Inject the liquid TPUs into the mold and cooling down them
5. Cut the recycled TPU tube to become bands and pack them to resell!
We also have few clients who buy the recycled TPU products only.
This is the recycling process at Group JCA.
However, as TPU material can mix with other soft plastics, we can join with other recycling program!

TPU is food and skin safe material.
Group JCA supplies our TPU products all around the world.
During the pandemic, we supplied TPU mask bands to the medical industries in the USA.
In Canada, we supply our TPU bands to lobster companies.
In Australia, Key international focuses on the Agricultural sector.
TPU vegetable bands would be our first step.

Why do you need to choose our TPU band?
1. NON-TOXIC, it does not contain latex and powder which can cause allergies.
2. 100% RECYCLABLE, TPU material is recyclable. It is the only way to replace current rubber bands.
3. COST EFFECTIVE, TPU bands are thinner and lighter but stronger than rubber bands. You will get more pieces in a bag compare the rubber bands.
4. CLEAR PRINTING, TPU bands are clearly printed on the surface. You can show your brand.

Most rubbers are not recycled, as few recycling centres will accept them due to the complexity of the recycling process.
This only leaves the option to re-use or just ends up as waste in landfills.
Group JCA flashed across this idea, ‘Why not we make alternative products?’
This is our starting point to develop TPU and TPE material packaging products.
TPU/TPE material is a category of plastic, but it has the same properties as rubber.
TPU/TPE material can 100% recyclable and latex-free.
Now, Key International opened in Melbourne Victoria to focus on TPU bands.

[What is TPU?]
TPU(Thermoplastic Polyurethane) is a category of plastic and is a subset of TPE(Thermoplastic Elastomer).
Group JCA mostly use both materials to get a wider range of softness and hardness.
TPU appears rubber-like, which means it is very elastic, flexible, and smooth to the touch, but at the same time, it is extremely durable and strong.
TPU has considerable heat resistance, meaning it will not melt or wrap when exposed to high-grade heat sources.
The footwear segment was the largest consumer of TPU in 2018 whereas the automotive industry is projected to be the fastest-growing end-use industry.
