Located at 247 Johnston Street, Abbotsford — home to the historic industrial building St Crispin House — the development is an 11-storey building with 133 apartments.

How does the dry fire protection system work?

A fire indicator panel works by constantly monitoring the air and temperature and alerting the occupants and fire authorities if any alarms or faults occur. Standard devices that are connected to a dry fire system include smoke, heat and flame detectors as well manual call points or break glass alarms.

Generally, the FIP will also be integrated with an Occupant Warning System (OWS) or an Early Warning Intercommunication System (EWIS) and these systems alert all occupants on alarms to assist with evacuation.

The team at Fire and Wire got to work alongside some pretty amazing builders on this upscale development in Carnegie.

The fantastic build consists of 12 storeys and 152 apartments. Fire and Wire installed both the fire sprinkler system and dry fire systems on-site. Finishing it off with evacuation drawings and portable fire equipment.

Fire and Wire proudly were involved from the first dig to handover!
