WHY WE DO IT

The Joy of Growing Things

There’s nothing quite like being immersed in nature: surrounded by a sea of green, but day to day not many of us are lucky enough to have access to this right outside our door, unless of course we have a garden! Gardens offer restful spaces to recharge our batteries from the stresses of life, outdoor rooms away from screens where the world slows down long e

nough for us to notice the sweet smell of jasmine, the warmth of the sun on our face, the breeze rustling through the trees and the delightful crunch of home grown snow peas.

Regenerating the Earth

There is a growing need to come back into relationship with the earth: to regenerate rather than deplete it.

By creating home gardens we can:
*remove carbon from the air through the plants we grow
*replenish the soil
*keep water in the landscape and reduce erosion
*grow produce and turn our food scraps into compost reducing our emissions
*provide habitat for local wildlife
