Right Lane Consulting We are a purpose-driven management consulting firm.

We employ our distinctive ideas and processes, and our absolute commitment to delivery, to help clients we care about pursue their inspiring missions. Right Lane is Australia’s first B Corp certified strategy consulting firm
This followed Right Lane’s decision in 2011 to adopt ‘for benefit’ principles including reasonable returns, inclusive ownership, stakeholder governance, transparency, and soc

Lockdown fatigue is real. There is a real cost of disconnection and an ongoing sense of groundhog day. Zoom calls with friends have dropped off, sourdough baking is a thing of the past, and learning a language on Duo Lingo is not a priority anymore.

So how do we stay productive during these ongoing lockdowns?

Using the three-step approach identified by Abhishek last year, we asked our team to share some hints and tips on what do they do to stay productive during these unusual (read difficult, challenging) times.

Staying productive during ongoing lockdowns is proving to be a challenge for many. In this article, we revisit the three steps we outlined in our 2020 article to help you stay productive in the midst of a pandemic: first, constantly reinforce priorities; second, make it easy to start and hard to str...

One of the special and distinctive things about Right Lane is our dedicated social purpose, to contribute to a better society by helping organisations that do good do better. We do that through our regular client work – serving many not-for-profit organisations – and also by investing alongside organisations and contributing our time, expertise and substantial pro bono budget.

We recently sat down with Jill Prior, Principal Legal Office and co-founder of Law and Advocacy Centre for Women (LACW), to hear her reflections on why being able to access quality pro bono consulting services is so important, and how Right Lane has been able to support the LACW board by supplying both an external lens and a process that was grounded in theory, knowledge and practice.

Right Lane recently assisted the Commission for Gender Equality in developing guidance materials for health sector organisations. This guidance helps defined entities to classify their employees in a meaningful way, and draw meaningful insights from their audit data.
If your organisation would like support with your audit analysis or GEAP development, please reach out to Jess Cossens.

Targeted advice to support public entities to comply with the Gender Equality Act.

Fight MND , a Right Lane client with a purpose close to our heart, and for some a personal connection, has launched the 27 Challenge to help raise funds for research to help find effective treatment and a cure for MND.

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a terminal neurological condition that ultimately leads to the loss of movement and the ability to speak, eat and breathe. The average life expectancy of someone diagnosed with MND is just 27 months.

The Right Lane Team will be taking part in the FightMND 27 Challenge by pushing themselves a bit more over the next 2 months. Jo Bradley has committed to 27 walks and Zoe Pappas to 27 yoga classes.

What will be your own ‘number 27’ challenge?

What have we learned in the past 18 months? As COVID cases rise again and Zoe Pappas puts the final touches on preparations for a large virtual (150 person) staff workshop for tomorrow, we thought it was timely to reflect on, and write about, what it takes to conduct successful virtual workshops.

As COVID cases rise again, and many parts of the country are in lockdown or have closed their borders to other states, we are preparing to facilitate a large all-staff workshop for 150 team members (virtually), and thought it was time to reflect on, and write about, what we've learned over the past....

Is your organisation a defined entity with obligations under the Gender Equality Act 2020? Under the Act, a defined entity must:
1) conduct a workplace gender audit; and
2) develop a gender equality action plan (GEAP) due for submission to the Commission on December 1, 2021.

If you need support to get started or to keep your gender equality project on track to meet the deadline, get in touch.

The Commission has set up a panel of providers to support defined entities to meet their obligations and build internal capability.
Right Lane is on that panel and is keen to support organisations to meaningfully promote gender equality in their workplaces.
