We always get a kick out of seeing our clients on the tele!

Great to see Ben Bennett, President of Australian Dairy Farmers, on News Breakfast last week, putting dairy farmers’ issues firmly on the national agenda.

We're proud to help bring important industry perspectives into the mainstream conversation.

Did you catch us on ABC News Breakfast this morning?

President Ben Bennett discussed how the dairy sector is dealing with sky-rocketing fuel prices and what these costs might mean for consumers.

We’ve moved… but only just!

This week, Currie settled into a new home at Spaces Rialto, just down the road from our previous office.

Same neighbourhood, same team, same focus on smart communications - just a fresh space to do it from.

If you’re in the area, pop by and say hello. We’d love to see you.

We’ve had a few big days on the road in northern NSW, spending time in cotton country and walking through crop trials.

There’s something that simply can’t be replicated by calls or presentations in the big city. Standing in the paddock, seeing the work up close, and having real conversations with the people shaping what’s next. You notice the detail. You ask better questions. You leave with a deeper understanding of what matters and where to next.

These moments are a reminder of why we still place so much value on getting out there face-to-face here at Currie.

We’re grateful for the time, the conversations and the chance to see the industry’s next innovations in the flesh.

We hope to see you next!

There's nothing like getting on the ground and interacting with your audiences!

Last week, Susan and Eloise headed up to central Queensland to pitch in at Your Catch Counts campaign pop-up events across Rockhampton and Yeppoon.

We spoke to locals and competitors at tackle stores, boat ramps and the Capricorn King of Kings tournament about the Qld Fishing 2.0 app, and the importance of recreational fishing data.

It was also great to meet some of our project partners in person for the first time after many months of online collaboration!

We’ve had front‑row seats to two very different kinds of excellence this week - catching the action at the Australian Open, then heading up to Tatura for International Dairy Week.

It’s been a welcome change to step out from behind our screens and reconnect face‑to‑face.

The contrast - meeting farmers at the tennis and then again at an industry event - is a great reminder of how uniquely grounded, broad and human Australian agriculture is. It’s not confined to the paddock; it shows up everywhere.

Two very different courts this week. Excellence on show in both!

Your Catch Counts!

We've helped launch a new campaign that aims to increase voluntary catch reporting through Fisheries Queensland's Qld Fishing 2.0 app.

Keep an eye out for it across your feed as it rolls out in the coming months, and help share the campaign with your network if you know anyone with a love of recreational fishing.

Talk about getting more than you bargained for (in the best possible way) - we had a blast at last night’s live podcast recording in Melbourne.

A night of great conversations and connections, reinforcing the importance consumers place on storytelling in agriculture.

And in true country style, Pete left with the most impressive meat tray we’ve seen!

We love seeing powerful stories of nature make headlines.

Late last month, Currie partnered with The Nature Conservancy Australia to share the winners of the 2025 Oceania Photo Contest and the story travelled far and wide.

We're proud to have secured TNC with coverage across outlets with an estimated reach of 314 million readers, spanning Australia, the UK, the US and beyond.

Highlights include major features in The Guardian, New Scientist and Yahoo, with the winning images stopping readers in their tracks.

Well done to the photographers who put nature in the frame, and congratulations to Miesa Grobbelaar for her winning image, Tauhi!

It's National Ag Day!

Currie has deep roots with farming and agriculture, and we are thankful for the incredible contributions of Australian farmers who keep our communities thriving.

This year's theme, Stand with the Land invites Australians to stand with farmers who have faced fires, floods and droughts over the last year.

To get down and show our support, Eloise checked out the Victorian Farmers Federation Ag Day Farm Shop, which showcased some award-winning local Victorian producers while raising money for drought-affected farmers in the state.

It was great to speak with the producers and get to learn about the great goods being produced in Victoria. She even came away with some goodies!

Our congratulations to ABC Gippsland's Danielle Pope on a most well-deserved win in the Currie-sponsored Best News Story - Audio category at last week's Rural Press Club of Victoria awards.

Peter Somerville had the honour of presenting Danielle, his former colleague, with the trophy.

Danielle was congratulated for her powerful coverage of a push to change presumptive compensation rules stemming from Gippsland identity Simon Lund's battle with oesophageal cancer. Mr Lund was exposed to toxic smoke throughout his 25-year career with the CFA.

Danielle said she accepted the award on behalf of Mr Lund and was grateful to his family for trusting her to tell the story.

The Currie team put the Momentum Energy Leadership Team through their paces in media training earlier this week.

Laura, Peter and Fiona (with the invaluable support of news camera operator Milton Amezquita of Top Hat Productions) were impressed by how supportive and collaborative the Leadership Team are, as well as how they performed in practice interviews.

And it's always great fun to go back to our journalist roots!
