In the design stage D2, we focus on getting the architectural layout right, ensuring that the building's look and feel align perfectly with the client’s vision, brief, cost plan, and project objectives. This stage is crucial for spatial coordination, where we integrate architectural aspects and energy-efficiency information to create a cohesive design.
Our iterative design process involves close collaboration with clients and stakeholders to address both objective and subjective criteria, resulting in a project-specific approach. We also assess cost implications and monitor the budget to ensure the design scope remains within financial constraints.
Additionally, we prioritise energy efficiency, comfort, and health through preliminary solar radiation analysis, energy modelling, and hygrothermal assessment.
If a Passivhaus certification is pursued, we coordinate the certifier's initial review at this stage.
By the end of Stage 2, the design is refined and coordinated, setting the foundation to move into Stage D3 Planning or D4 Resolution while minimising the need for major changes later in the project.
