Knowledge is power, and self-awareness is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. Understanding the energies and influences that may unfold throughout our life’s journey can help us navigate experiences with greater clarity, acceptance, and confidence. It also allows us to make informed adjustments when potential challenges can be foreseen.

This is the beauty of Four Pillars of Destiny when it is analysed accurately and thoughtfully. While it offers valuable insight into our personal blueprint, there is always free will making our choices and actions remain powerful factors in shaping our lives.

Today marks the Winter Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere and the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, a beautiful reminder of the balance of yin and yang. While one half of the world experiences the longest night, the other enjoys the longest day.
Today in the Chinese calendar is a Yang Fire Tiger day in a Yang Wood Horse month and Yang Fire Horse year, making it a day with particularly strong Fire energy. 🔥

Fire is associated with enlightenment, spiritual growth, inspiration and transformation. It’s the spark that helps us see more clearly and connect more deeply with our purpose.

This evening at 6:24pm in Victoria, Australia, the energy shifts into a Yin Fire Rooster hour. Whether you follow these traditions or simply enjoy taking time to connect with nature, it’s a lovely moment to pause, sit quietly, and honour the changing of the seasons.

Take a few minutes to meditate, breathe, and connect with Mother Gaia. Feel the stillness of winter, the promise of returning light, and the wisdom that comes from being in harmony with nature’s cycles.

It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since our dear teacher, Sifu Howard Choy, grew his wings.
Looking back, I feel so grateful that our paths crossed. Howard’s wisdom, generosity, and passion for teaching touched so many lives. What made him truly special was the way he encouraged us to think outside the box.
He had a unique gift for bringing together Feng Shui, its art and science, architecture, and our connection to the environment, showing us how these principles could be applied and lived in our everyday lives.
Howard was one of those teachers who didn’t just teach, he inspired. His lessons continue to guide me, and I still find myself drawing on his knowledge and perspective in both my work and life.
I am deeply grateful for the gift of having learned from him, and I honour his memory by carrying forward the knowledge and values he so generously shared.
I still can hear his laughter from time to time 😃

🌟 Welcome to the Yang Wood Horse Month

This month brings the energies of Yang Wood on the Fire Horse, and because we’re already in a Fire Horse year, the Horse energy is doubled, making this one of the strongest Fire months of 2026.

With the month mirroring the year, romance energies are also amplified. Those born in the year or on the day of the Snake, Rooster, or Ox may notice increased opportunities for connection, relationships, and social activity.

If you have a Horse anywhere in your BaZi chart, this creates a Self-Punishment, which can show up as overthinking, anxiety, self-sabotage, or becoming your own biggest obstacle. Fire can illuminate, but it can also create illusion. With AI-generated content becoming increasingly realistic, this month is a reminder to trust your instincts and question what you see online if something doesn’t feel quite right.

These amazing and dedicated students have come such a long way, and now it’s time for their assessments. Throughout this journey, we’ve shared so much learning, growth, and fun while analysing charts and exploring how the 5 Elements influence personalities, characteristics, and life events.

Just another theme I mentioned in my annual talks this year 🔥
We are now in the 20-year Fire Energy cycle — Age 9 (2024–2044) — and entering some of the strongest fire years ahead. The Yang Fire Horse energy is linked to rapid movement, space, aviation, electricity, technology, energy shifts, UFOs 🛸 and the unknown.
I mentioned earlier this year that around May/June — the Snake and Horse fire months — we could begin hearing more about UFO and alien encounters, and perhaps even witness unexpected revelations.
Interesting timing that President Trump released these discussions on May 8, a Yang Water Fire Horse day — creating a strong elemental clash with the Yang Fire energy already present in the year, amplified again by Horse fire energy.
The elements are definitely in motion.

The month of May brings in the Yin Water Fire Snake energies, a combination of elements that naturally clash, creating a dynamic and sometimes unpredictable environment.

Yin Water is like mist or gentle rain, making it fluid, adaptable, and ever-changing. It reminds us that life may shift quickly this month, and our ability to adjust and flow with change will be key.

Among the Ten Heavenly Stems, Yin Water is one of the most mysterious to truly understand. It tends to be private and introspective, often appearing soft or reserved while keeping deeper emotions hidden. These individuals avoid confrontation, yet possess quiet strength, emotional intelligence, and a persuasive nature. They are intuitive, imaginative, and highly perceptive, often preferring calm or solitary environments.

At times, this energy can also bring moodiness, indecision, or overthinking, especially when too many ideas or underlying fears are at play. This month, you may notice these traits surfacing within yourself, in others, or even reflected through the media.

Yin Water is also connected to the kidneys, ancestry, and our roots. It represents deep wisdom carried from the past. As a result, we may see hidden truths, secrets, or historical matters coming to light, particularly around religion, legacy, or public figures.

The Fire Snake, known as a Travel Star, initiates movement, transformation, and renewal. Like the snake shedding its skin, this energy supports releasing the old to make way for the new. If there are things or people you are still holding onto since 2025 (Wood Snake Year) , this month offers you a window of opportunity to finally let go. When you do, you’ll likely feel a deep sense of relief, like a weight that has been lifted off your shoulders, which ties in with this years Yang Fire energy and its connection to the shoulders.
