SanDance! is an independent one-hour documentary from filmmaker, Richard Wicksteed, covering the age-old dance culture of southern Africa’s San or Bushman peoples.

Beautifully filmed in Namibia and Botswana, SanDance! immerses viewers in the trance healing dance that lies at the heart of San culture, and follows dance groups from rehearsals in remote Kalahari villages to electrifying performances at the Kuru Dance Festival in Botswana.

SanDance! is co-produced with Botswana San NGO, the Kuru Development Trust, which hosts the Kuru Dance Festival. Proceeds from SanDance! directly benefit the KDT, and the dance groups featured in our wonderful film.
