Jessi came across the beautiful Court House Hotel in Nathalia during a recent site visit to Northern
Victoria.
Located on a corner site in Nathalia’s main street, the hotel was built by owner James Orth in 1906
to replace an earlier timber hotel on the site. The hotel’s name derived from the late nineteenth
century when a police constable - who had been appointed Clerk of Petty Sessions - used the hotel
for court sessions.
