🌙 Ramadan Mubarak

Ramadan commemorates the month in which the Qur’an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. As mentioned in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:183), fasting is prescribed so that we may attain taqwa (God-consciousness).

🤲 A Powerful Dua for the 1st of Ramadan

اللهم بلغنا رمضان وأعنا فيه على الصيام والقيام وغض البصر وحفظ اللسان
Allahumma ballighna Ramadan, wa a’inna fihi ‘ala as-siyam wal-qiyam wa ghadd al-basar wa hifdh al-lisan.

Meaning:
O Allah, allow us to reach Ramadan and help us in it to fast, to pray at night, to lower our gaze, and to guard our tongues.

You may also make this personal dua:

Ya Allah, purify my heart, strengthen my iman, forgive my sins, grant barakah in my time and health, and make this Ramadan a turning point in my life.

Comparison no longer has a place in my heart. When I see someone doing better, achieving more, or being praised, I choose to wish her well and move on with peace. There is no bitterness in that, only acceptance.

I do not compete with other women because I know my worth is not measured against theirs. We are all on different paths, carrying different tests, timing, and blessings. What Allah has written for one person was never meant to be taken from another.

I am learning to be content with who I am and where I am in life. I trust that Allah knows me better than anyone else and that what He chooses for me is exactly what my heart and soul need.

There is freedom in that kind of trust. When you stop comparing, you stop fighting battles that were never yours to begin with. And in that peace, you learn to stand confidently in what Allah has written just for you.

We are surrounded by many people in our lives, and each person has their own opinions about us, our lives, how we are living, our relationships, and our work—almost everything. Their opinions are based on their experiences and do not always represent who we truly are, nor do they understand our dreams and aspirations. So, if anyone has a negative opinion, do not let it demotivate you.

Remain confident, follow your dreams, accept feedback, improve yourself, but do not let it discourage you. The more people you are surrounded by, the more opinions there will be. The one you need to trust the most is your own.
