Inala House ✨
Sometimes the universe takes you to the exact spot you should be. I remember when this house was for sale, thinking it not only had great potential, but a special energy.
Imagine my surprise and delight when the new owners reached out, needing help with their renovation!
From our first meeting I could tell this home had been loved and cared for, and it was my job to ensure we honored that feeling.
The clients were keen for a calm, Japandi style, creating a connection to their beautiful garden and creating spaces for their family to gather.
I redesigned the kitchen and dining for functional flow, with a revised layout, new island bench and fabulous new storage that connects entry to dining.
The cosy lounge room now features beautiful new carpet and a longed for fireplace…just in time for winter!
Bathrooms and laundry were also fully renovated, in soft tones, with modern storage and improved ventilation and lighting.
Existing elements of the home were embraced, original blinds, timber ceiling and all windows and doors remain. Whilst some elements originally felt dated against the tired finishes, they now shine. And with the help of clever builders and cabinet makers we were even able to salvage original handles which now feature across the kitchen!
I’ve so loved seeing this project come to life, with thanks to for their hard work and commitment to the design.
