Ageing is global. Care is personal. 💙
Today is World Senior Citizens Day, a day to recognise and celebrate older people and the extraordinary contribution they make to our families, communities and societies.
Our world is ageing. By 2030, one in six people globally will be aged 60 or over.
But behind that statistic are millions of individual lives.
People with stories to tell.
People with relationships that matter.
People with preferences, choices and aspirations.
People who deserve to be heard, respected and cared for.
At Leecare, we have always believed that the person must remain at the centre of care.
Founded by nurses, we understand that technology and good systems have an important role to play, but ultimately their purpose is to support something profoundly human: helping people live with dignity, independence, connection and respect.
As populations age across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom and around the world, caring well for older people will become one of the defining responsibilities of our generation.
Today, we celebrate the people behind the statistics and thank the nurses, carers, families, communities and organisations who support them every day.
Because every person deserves to feel seen, heard, valued and cared for. At every age. 💙
