The JAC Hunter PHEV officially landed at the Melbourne Motor Show this weekend!
This isnโt just another dual cab โ JAC has taken the time to properly develop this ute for real-world use, including over 50,000km of local Australian testing.
Key highlights include๐
- Plug-in hybrid system (PHEV) designed to reduce fuel use while still giving you the flexibility of a traditional ute. Claimed 1.6L/100km fuel consumption and up to 1,005km combined driving range โ which is huge if youโre doing a mix of city and long-distance driving
-V2L (vehicle-to-load) capability, meaning you can power tools, camping gear, or tech directly from the car
One of the standout moments at the show was the custom JAC Hunter PHEV built with which really shows how adaptable this platform is depending on how you want to use it โ whether thatโs work, lifestyle, or something in between.
Itโs still early days โ full specs and pricing are being rolled out โ but with a mid-2026 launch, this is definitely one to keep an eye on if youโre watching the shift toward electrified utes in Australia.
Reservations open on May 5th.
