This week the franchise team attended a Westpac Business Lunch at the Glasshouse in Melbourne.

The topic was productivity and how Australia is falling behind. Some areas such as farming and business services are improving but many others are stagnant. Increasing workers in aged care does not help productivity but is of course good for the community.

Government needs to get the settings right for investment and confidence. Business needs to invest in better systems and technology. AI is yet to make a big impact.

Great session with a keynote by Sian Fenner from Westpac. Followed by a panel including Sally Curtain from VECCI, Dominic Westendorf from Westpac, Melanie Gleeson from Endota and demographer Bernard Salt AM

It is with great sadness we share the news that our beautiful friend and colleague Sally Cross has passed away after a short battle with cancer.

Sally was the coordinator of the Franchising Expo for over a decade, delivering every event with a quiet skill, determination and a winning smile. She was a favourite with exhibitors and will be missed.

A service will be held in Melbourne on Thursday 10 September. If you knew Sally and would like to attend please send us a private message.
