Enzyme treatments can work when the correct product reaches all of the contamination and remains under suitable conditions for long enough. However, enzymes and beneficial bacteria depend on factors such as moisture, temperature, pH and dwell time. Previous cleaning chemicals, disinfectants or premature drying can also affect their performance.
