This is significant. The 2017 Edelman Trust Barometer shows a collapse in trust across all major sectors. Why is it important? Because most decisions are not made rationally but on the basis of gut and heart feelings. And Trust sits right up there in the driving seat of these gut feelings. If a leader or brand or institution is distrusted, then no matter how rational and well explained their decisions or offerings are, they will be resisted.
