“It’s the wind that gets you!” 🥶

Australia’s winter has nothing on our Jansen Potash Project in Saskatchewan, Canada. ❄️ Proper cold-weather gear is essential when working in these conditions. Once fully ramped up, Jansen will be one of the world’s largest potash mines, producing about 8.5 million tonnes per year.

The final of four Oak Dam Family Stay Weekends has wrapped up, offering families a behind-the-scenes look at life at site.

Across the series, families experienced core processing tours, geology presentations and drill rig visits - alongside time in the village getting to know the people behind the operation.

Oak Dam is more than an exploration project. It is part of Copper South Australia - one of the world’s most significant copper regions.

As demand for copper continues to grow, projects like Oak Dam are helping shape the future of our business and supporting long-term growth in South Australia.

🧡 Thank you to our teams who made these weekends possible -strengthening connection, pride and community at site.

"A crew in mining makes or breaks it."
When she's not laughing (which is often), Molly is an Auto‑Electrician at our Mining Area C iron ore site in Western Australia, and she couldn't rate her team more highly!

Supporting the reduction of greenhouse emissions in the maritime value chain.

Last July, we signed contracts with COSCO Shipping Bulk Co. for the charter of two ammonia dual-fuelled Newcastlemax bulk carriers.

These vessels will be two of only a handful in the world capable of using ammonia as a marine fuel.

This represents an important step towards lowering shipping greenhouse gas emissions in the iron ore seaborne market and moving the maritime sector towards a decarbonised future.

Footy has the power to bring people together.

Meet Shirley 👋

A warehouse operator at Spence, Shirley found her place in mining after moving to Chile—building her career and growing with BHP.

As a member of an Indigenous community, she says an inclusive culture has supported her to learn, develop and bring safety, respect and personal growth into everything she does.

Because when people feel they belong, they thrive 💛

As the world transitions to a lower-carbon future, copper will play an increasingly vital role in the technologies and infrastructure that support the energy transition - such as electric vehicles and renewable energy systems, including wind turbines, solar panels and battery storage.

We produce resources that are essential to this transition, and we are committed to reducing the greenhouse gas emissions generated from their production.

At our Jansen mine in Saskatoon, we are redefining what's possible underground.

We made two 8.5m wide and 34m high excavations for our raw ore bin, removing more than 5,500 tonnes of rock safely and efficiently. Completed in just 24 days, this industry-first approach delivered a ten-storey opening from the bottom up, significantly faster and safer than traditional methods.

The Potash from our Jansen mine is expected to produce approximately 10 per cent of the world’s demand by 2031.

Jobs. Skills. Stronger communities.

That’s what mining makes possible.

In FY2025, BHP contributed US$46.8 billion to the economies where we operate - supporting local businesses, creating jobs for more than 90,000 people, and investing in the communities around us.

From the wages people take home, to the suppliers we work with, to the programs and projects we help fund - this is how our work shows up in real lives.

As the world looks to build, decarbonise and connect, the materials we produce are more important than ever. And we’re focused on delivering them responsibly, while creating value that lasts.

Port General Manager Dan Mossman and his marine team oversee one of the world’s most complex channel systems. 🚢

In Western Australia, our port operations handle nearly 2,500 vessel movements each year. Dan says a focus on simplification, capability building and commercial discipline has delivered a significant uptick in production and savings.

Keep up the great work Dan and team! 👏
