⚠️ It’s everyone’s responsibility to ensure they follow the campfire and BBQ safety rules to help prevent a bushfire:

- Not all parks allow campfires, check before you visit
- Always use a purpose-built fireplace provided in National and State Parks
- Do not light a fire on a Total Fire Ban day
- Always stay with your campfire or BBQ - never leave it unattended
- Always put your campfire out with water, not soil
- If your extinguished campfire is cool to touch, then it’s safe to leave

Changes in hormones throughout life can have significant effects on women from difficulty sleeping during perimenopause and menopause to hot flashes. Hot flashes are the most common complaint among women during menopause, occurring in up to 80% of women. In addition, between 35% and 60% of women have trouble sleeping when approaching or during menopause.

Two separate studies found that inhaling lavender essential oil can help women during perimenopause and menopause. The first study found that inhaling lavender essential oil for 20 minutes, twice weekly, significantly reduces hot flashes. The second study reported that inhaling lavender for 20 minutes (from an ultrasonic diffuser), twice weekly in the evening, significantly improved sleep quality.
