The Victorian Government has announced a range of new supports to bolster communities and businesses most affected by the current restrictions. These include:

Eligible Business Costs Assistance Package Round Two recipients will receive $2,800, taking total payment to $4,800.
Eligible Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund 2021 recipients will receive $4,200, taking total payment to $7,200.
Alpine businesses that were eligible for grants of up to $15,000 will receive an extra $3,000, on top of any entitlements under Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund 2021 or Business Costs Assistance Package Round Two.
The Sporting Clubs Grants Program will provide $2,000 grants for community sport and active recreation organisations for events unable to proceed.
Businesses that had chosen not to apply for these support programs in relation to the May/June lockdown, or had been ineligible to apply but are now eligible, will be welcome to apply for July lockdown support payments and will be considered outside of the automatic top-up process.

Discussions with the Commonwealth Government have confirmed that the vast majority of microbusinesses not registered for GST will be eligible for the Covid-19 Disaster Payment of $600/$375 per seven-day period. The Victorian Government will establish a concierge service to help these businesses access this support.
An extension to the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two will open for applications by the end of July. Further information will be available

Smells like de ja vu....
The applications have now gone live for the "circuit breaker" support grants.... at this rate the Victorian Government are gonna run out of names for all these snap lockdowns

The Victorian Government has launched a new round of grants for eligible small to medium businesses, including employing and non-employing businesses impacted by the recent restrictions in Victoria.

*** JOBKEEPER 3.0 ***

Announcement this morning to changes for Jobkeeper.

1. Previously you were required to show a 30% reduction of turnover as compared to the same month 12 months prior. Rather than recording monthly figures, this is now changed to quarterly, encapsulating the 3 months (July-Sept).
2. Staff were only eligible if employed prior to 1st March 2020, this has now moved to 1st July 2020.
3. The reduction of $1500 per fortnight on the 1st Oct to $1200 is still in place.
This could now make ineligible businesses for Vic Gov grants now eligible.

If you leave your home for anything work related you MUST have a Covid Permitted Worker Permit with you.

The Stage 3 Expanded Business Support Grant of $5k is now available for businesses with a postcode within the Melbourne & Mitchell Shires..... its simple applicable process.

The expanded Business Support Fund will provide more than 80,000 eligible businesses with a new $5,000 grant to support them through the renewed restrictions.

JOBKEEPER Monthly Declarations to the ATO are due the 14th of each month, commencing from June.

Previously, the legislation was to see it declared within seven days of the end of the previous month.... this has been amended - However, it's important to note that the later the monthly declaration is lodged, the later businesses will be reimbursed for its JobKeeper payments.
