When it comes to safety, every second counts.
The Sentry Laser uses smart LiDAR technology to create a virtual safety zone around the worksite - triggering an instant alert if something or someone enters the area. It’s a simple idea with a big impact: faster warnings, safer crews, and smarter workzones. Because on the road, there’s no time to waste.

While we already crowned a winner in the Age Group 1–4 category for the Altus Road Safety Colouring Competition for National Road Safety Week, we couldn't resist sending a little something to Xaria (22 months old) as well. 💛

When her family shared this photo with us, we knew she deserved a special mention! After all, it's never too early to get a head start on road safety awareness. 🚧 😉

📸 Photo credit: Thank you to Xaria's parents for allowing us to share this photo with our follower community and to wrap up National Road Safety Week 2026.

A big thank you to all the families who encouraged their children and grandchildren to take part in the Altus Road Safety Colouring Competition for National Road Safety Week.

It was fantastic to see the creativity, colour and variety of designs submitted. We hope this activity sparked meaningful conversations at home about the importance of road safety- and that these lessons continue to be reinforced as children grow into confident, safety-conscious young adults.

We are proud to announce our winners:
Winner Age 1 to 4 years old category - Milania, (3)
Winner Age 5 to 8 years old category - Mak (8)
Winner Age 9 to 12 years old category - Tess (9)
Congratulations to all our winners - your prize is on its way!

Thank you again for supporting this year’s National Road Safety Week.
And remember: children learn by example. Let’s continue to demonstrate safe behaviours and follow the road rules every day.

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ With more than 10,000 runners, over 800 volunteers , and competitors representing 35+ countries, the Brisbane Marathon is a major city-wide operation requiring extensive planning, coordination and traffic management.

From the Story Bridge and Kangaroo Point Cliffs to the tree-lined streets of New Farm and Teneriffe, the course showcases some of Brisbane’s most spectacular landmarks. Behind the scenes, ensuring these routes remain safe for participants and the community takes months of preparation.

Our Altus Traffic Events team worked closely with event organisers and local council throughout the planning process, developing and implementing the traffic management and road closure strategies needed to support both the Marathon and Half Marathon events.

On event day, some members of our team were positioned within the Event Control Centre, working alongside event organisers and emergency services. Together, we monitored the course in real time, responded to changing conditions, and coordinated the safe movement of runners, volunteers, spectators, and local residents.

🏁 As the final runners crossed the finish line, our crews continued working to efficiently reopen roads and restore normal traffic conditions across the city.

👏 A fantastic example of collaboration, planning, and ex*****on helping deliver another safe and successful event for Brisbane.

🎗️ Reflecting on National Road Safety Week 2026, we want to thank everyone across the country who helped make this important initiative such a success.

As a Principal Partner of National Road Safety Week, Altus teams came together nationwide to champion the message: Drive So Others Survive. Throughout the week, our people participated in events, community engagement activities, road safety conversations, workplace initiatives, and awareness campaigns designed to encourage safer behaviours on our roads.

From attending the official launch at Queensland Parliament, to partnering with community organisations, sporting clubs, customers, schools and families, we were reminded that road safety is a shared responsibility and that every decision behind the wheel matters.

We were especially proud to see the enthusiasm for our Road Safety Colouring Competition, helping young Australians learn valuable road safety lessons through creativity and conversation.

The statistics remain confronting, with more than 1,300 lives lost and over 40,000 people seriously injured on Australian roads each year. Behind every number is a person, a family, and a community forever changed.

While National Road Safety Week 2026 may be over, the message continues. We will continue working with our customers, communities and industry partners to raise awareness, encourage safer choices and support safer roads for all.

Thank you to everyone who took the pledge, shared the message, participated in an event, or simply took a moment to reflect on how we can all do our part to make our roads safer. 💛

As National Road Safety Week 2026 has come to an end, the message remains as important as ever — road safety is everyone’s responsibility, every day.  While the official week may be over, the conversations and actions it inspires should continue
