How did you learn about money growing up? 💬

For most of us, it was by watching our parents, making a few mistakes, and the occasional happy accident. There wasn't much of a roadmap.

The good news: you don't need to be a finance expert to raise financially confident kids. What matters most is the values you pass on and the conversations you're willing to have.

In our latest blog, we share three to start with:

💛 Generosity: try the simple "spend, save, give" jar approach so giving becomes a habit, not an afterthought
🛒 Budgeting: give young kids a set amount for their school snacks at the supermarket and let them choose within a few simple rules
💳 Debt: as they get older, talk about how interest works and why it's important to understand the terms of things like buy-now-pay-later before signing up

Kids notice far more than we think, especially how we talk about money ourselves.

It's a topic that sits right at the heart of what we do. Money matters most when it's connected to what you value, and for many people that includes giving back.

Big news for our Founder, Thabojan!

He's been invited to speak at Elston Elevate 2026, an invitation-only investment conference hosted by Elston Asset Management, running 16–18 September at Byron Bay, alongside some of the industry's leading investment managers and fund professionals.
Thabojan's always believed that staying close to what's happening across the industry makes us better at what we do for our clients. So while it's a few days away from the office, it's time well spent, learning, connecting, and bringing fresh thinking back to the team.

Tomorrow, he's off to Byron Bay. Wishing him a fantastic trip, we're proud to have him representing Rasiah Private! ✈️
