My oven cleaning story
I didn’t set out to start an oven cleaning business. Honestly it kind of found me as it was advertised on paper and applied for the job. Unfortunately a year later things didn’t go to plan and left .
So I started my own oven cleaning business.
I spent hours on it. Tried different methods, researched proper techniques and refused to just “make it look better
When I finally stepped back, it looked brand new again
Not just wiped down, but restored. Even my wife couldn’t believe it. Neither could I, to be honest.
Word got around faster than I expected. A neighbour asked if I could do theirs. Then a friend. Then someone I didn’t even know messaged saying, “I heard you’re the oven guy.”
At first, it was just a side thing. A few jobs here and there. But I started noticing something—people weren’t just happy, they were genuinely relieved. Like I’d taken something stressful and time-consuming off their plate. Ovens are one of those jobs everyone avoids. It’s messy, it’s frustrating, and most people don’t have the time or the right tools to do it properly.
That’s when it clicked.
This wasn’t just about cleaning ovens—it was about giving people back their time, their comfort, and that feeling of walking into a clean kitchen without dreading what’s hiding behind the oven door.
So I invested in proper equipment. Learned the best techniques. Switched to safe, plant-based products so families didn’t have to worry about harsh chemicals. And I built the business around doing one thing really well: delivering results people didn’t think were possible.
Now, every job still feels a bit like that first one. Open the door, see the condition, and know that by the time I’m done, it’s going to look completely different.
Funny how something most people avoid turned into something I take pride in every day.
