It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me. Or am I? 🤷🏻♀️
I’ve had a 7 week break from engaging on this platform and while I love the connections I’ve built over many years, in all honesty I can’t say I missed being ‘on’. For a couple of years now I’ve had a growing sense of discontent. There’s so much I don’t align with, so much that simply doesn’t make me feel good, such as the punishment/banishment of users for not using specific typologies, the inherent bias confirmation of the algorithm model, the sheer unwillingness to protect users through pitiful community standards. Beyond that, I dropped some data into the flux capacitor and it no longer makes sense as a communications tactic for my business goals, and if you know me, you know I’m always banging on about choosing the right communications tactic for your goals.
So, FB, I don’t think we should see each other any more. It’s not me, it’s you.
