Amazing job title! But how do you get the interview?
Start by making your CV show why you fit the role. Here are five steps for students and graduates:
01 - Read the job description for key skills, tools and responsibilities. Use matching keywords naturally in our CV where they reflect your experience. Use bold sparingly to make important skills easy to spot.
02 - Build a key skills section. Choose five relevant skills from the job description that you can genuinely demonstrate.
03 - Put your strongest evidence on page one. Bring relevant university projects, internships and responsibilities forward, explaining what you did and the result.
04 - Research similar roles on LinkedIn. Review profiles of people at the company to understand the tools, projects and experience they bring. Use this as context, not wording to copy.
05 - Work on a relevant skills gap. Complete a suitable short course or certificate and practise what you learn. Add completed training and a relevant project to your CV; clearly label anything still in progress.
Make your fit easy to see. Save this checklist before
your next application.
