What a privilege it was to visit Ability Works Australia Ltd in Kew—a certified social enterprise, registered NDIS provider and active supplier.

What stood out most was their focus on meaningful employment and inclusive design with lived experience helping shape the way they work and create opportunities.

Touring the facility and meeting employees across such a wide range of work was a powerful reminder of why inclusion matters for individuals, businesses and the broader community.

With over 60 years of experience spanning manufacturing, assembly, inclusive design and employment services, Ability Works Australia Ltd demonstrates how social procurement can create real opportunities, strengthen capability and deliver meaningful impact.

Thank you to the team for welcoming us and sharing your expertise!

Great to see Lisa Maro and Christopher Bell out and about representing ICN Victoria at Victoria University, Melbourne Australia’s Open Days in Footscray and the CBD.

Chris brought the student perspective, sharing how VU’s internship program and his time with ICN Victoria helped connect study with real-world industry experience. Lisa brought the employer perspective, joining panels on engineering, AI, robotics and future careers to unpack what workplace-ready graduates need today.

Together, they showed exactly why strong education-industry partnerships matter: they open doors, build confidence and create clearer pathways for the next generation workforce.

Thanks to Victoria University for having us!

Our Industry Advisers Lisa Maro and Peter McCracken recently visited the NEXTDC GE1 Geelong Data Centre under construction in Corio, as well as Air Radiators in Lara.

GE1 is a major step forward for regional Victoria’s digital infrastructure, bringing cloud, AI, enterprise and government services closer to Geelong while highlighting the role local suppliers can play in major projects.

The visit also showcased Air Radiators’ local manufacturing capability, with the business scaling up production to support growing demand for critical cooling solutions used in data centre operations.

Projects like this show how ICN Victoria helps connect major projects with capable Victorian suppliers, supporting opportunities across emerging sectors such as digital infrastructure, advanced manufacturing and technology.

Thank you NEXTDC, Kapitol and Air Radiators for the visit and sharing insights into the project and the local capability helping bring it to life!
