We're hiring an Industrial A-Grade Electrician.

If you're an industrial electrician who knows their way around switchboards, breakdowns and machine installs, and wants to be involved in the range of projects we've got on, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll need: an A-Grade Electrical Licence, a valid Australian driver's licence, and our preference is 3 years of industrial electrical experience (though we're happy to bring on someone who's motivated to learn). Experience with PLCs, VSDs or AutoCAD Electrical is a bonus.

An ethylene-oxide steriliser runs on a flammable gas. In a regulated medical process, a safety function being present isn't the same as it being proven.

We built the safety PLC to AS/NZS 4024 alongside the process PLC and SCADA, with a single register tracing every safety-related control back through the equipment specs and the programming — safety-rated I/O kept clearly separate from the IO-Link protocols running elsewhere on the plant.

The hazardous-area side needed its own care: intrinsically safe cabling in steel conduit, three motor control centres for the vacuum, main and ethylene supply, and a custom-fabricated switchboard with the nitrogen tank properly bonded. Valve control and PID tuning were set against real chamber pull-down data, and the sterilising sequence was re-tested once the loops were live.

Two mislabelled digital input groups turned up during that testing — the sort of thing a safety register should catch before commissioning, not after. If your safety system has never been tested this hard, let us know and we can do a Machine Safety Gap Walk with you.

A chocolate plant needed several production and packing lines reconfigured, without stopping the plant to do it.

The lines ran equipment from different manufacturers — a Pattyn case erector, Mettler-Toledo metal detectors and checkweighers, a stretch wrapper — each on its own safety circuit. We tied all of it into one line safety circuit and proved every stop path in both directions: the line stops from the machine, and the machine stops from anywhere on the line.

We also built a safety overview in Siemens WinCC showing the live state of every E-stop, isolator and plug across each line, and passed reject data from the metal detectors and checkweighers through to the plant's MES.

Every stop path was tested and documented, with a safety summary report, IO test records and as-built drawings handed over at the end.

A Queensland steel fabricator installed one collaborative welding cell for production work, then came back and ordered a second.

The second order tells you more than the first. A pilot cell proves a concept. A repeat order means the numbers held up once the excitement wore off.

Production welding is repetitive and physically demanding, and it's getting harder to keep people doing it. The cell didn't replace the welders on site — it took over the repetitive runs, and the crew now programs and checks its work.

A local manufacturer's switchboards were full, ageing and still running on an outdated fused-bus setup — and production couldn't stop while we fixed it.

The main switchboard and its sub boards were scoped individually. Most were straightforward replacements, but two sub boards were purpose-built for a fast swap-out, and the main switchboard was custom-built and retrofitted into the existing switch room — both to keep downtime short.

Because the changeover touched the incoming supply, we brought the power authority into the plan early so the isolation could happen safely.

We worked with a Victorian steel processor to relocate key production equipment — including a slitting line, cut-to-length line and re-coiler — into a new factory.

The scope covered both the mechanical and electrical sides of the move: repositioning and aligning the machinery, reinstating conduit, cabling and control panels, and recommissioning each line once it was back in place.

Getting coil-handling equipment properly aligned was central to how well it performed once it was running again.

We've continued to provide support on site since the relocation was completed, and if a similar move is on your radar, we're happy to walk your plant and talk through the scope with you.
