Better merch starts with a supplier who understands your brand.

We’ve worked with Josh Neille over the years, testing different prints, designs and ideas to figure out what works best for his brand.

Now, we’ve got a pretty good handle on what works, what suits his audience and how to keep each new run moving in the right direction.

August was HUGE, and so is our latest YouTube video 🎬

We put new materials to the test, caught up with Josh Neille and his critters, and checked in with Melbourne Made Apparel on their latest run of hoodies.

Motorbikes, wombats, trains and plenty of printing packed into one video.☝️

Our latest YouTube video is out now 🎬

Here’s what we think you should know before putting your logo on 100 tees:

1. The product people keep is usually better value than the product that costs less. Particularly for merch. Saving a couple of dollars doesn’t mean much if it ends up forgotten in a drawer.

2. Your first order doesn’t need to include everything. If you’re creating merch, starting with one or two really good products can be smarter than launching tees, hoodies, caps, totes, socks and stubby holders all at once.

3. Embroidery isn’t automatically the “premium” option. Sometimes screen printing is the better choice. Sometimes it’s DTF. The best method is the one that suits the garment, artwork and end use.

4. Your tiny logo details might not survive embroidery. What looks great at 300% on your computer can turn into a tiny blob of thread on a cap. Sometimes simplifying it gives you a much better result.

5. Bigger doesn’t automatically mean better. A massive logo across the front isn’t always going to have more impact. Sometimes the small chest print wins.

6. You don’t need to know exactly what you want before contacting us. “We need new staff uniforms and have no idea where to start” is actually plenty for us to start with.

7. Ordering more can make a BIG difference to your price per item. If you know you’ll need another batch soon, it can be worth ordering it together rather than placing two smaller orders.

8. And yes, we actually want you to ask questions. You don’t need to know the difference between DTF, HTV, screen printing and embroidery before you enquire. That part is literally our job.

None of this is about making custom merch complicated. Quite the opposite.

It’s about making smarter choices from the start, so your first order isn’t your last. The right products, print methods and quantities can give you something that works now, sells well, gets worn and makes sense to order again as your business grows.

Did any of these shock you? 👀
