What a day to wrap up 2025!

The AJ team headed to the Yarra Valley Races today for our 2025 Christmas Party, the perfect way to wrap up a big year together. 🎄🐎

Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Yarra Valley, the day was all about good company, great food and a festive atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. From trackside views to a few light-hearted tips on the form guide, it was the ideal mix of celebration and connection.

Most importantly, it was a chance for our team to slow down, reflect on the year’s achievements, and toast to everything we’ve accomplished together. A huge thank you to the entire AJ team for your hard work, passion and collective brilliance. It’s what makes our culture so strong.

🚴‍♀️ Team Armitage Jones Rides with Purpose! 🚴‍♂️

Today, our incredible team members crossed the finish line at the Tour de PIF VIC 2025, held at the beautiful RACV Healesville Country Club & Resort — and we couldn’t be prouder!

This wasn’t just a ride. It was a powerful movement to help end youth homelessness through the Property Industry Foundation’s Haven Project. Every kilometre ridden contributes to building safe, stable homes for young Australians in need.

👏 A huge congratulations to our riders who took on the challenge — the 55km course and the epic 70km course. Your dedication, energy, and heart made a real impact.

Together, we’re helping turn fundraising into real change. Thank you to everyone who supported our team and this incredible cause.
Let’s keep pedalling towards a future where every young person has a safe place to call home.

Grill Americano Sydney is officially complete!

We’re thrilled to celebrate the opening of newest culinary destination — Sydney — located in the iconic, heritage-listed Qantas House, now known as No. 1 Chifley Square.

Our team at Armitage Jones has been proud to play a part in bringing this vision to life, alongside an incredible builder and consultant team whose collective expertise and dedication made this project truly special.

The Sydney venue is a bold evolution of its Melbourne counterpart — larger in scale, with a stunning 30-metre marble bar, and interiors that pay homage to the building’s soaring ceilings and expansive windows. It’s a space that beautifully blends heritage architecture with contemporary luxury.

We’ve loved attending the soft openings and seeing the space come alive over the past few days — a true testament to collaboration, creativity, and craftsmanship.

Congratulations to everyone involved — we can’t wait to see Grill Americano Sydney become a standout in the city’s dining scene.

A long weekend for wellness!

At Armitage Jones, we know the best ideas - and the best teamwork - come from people who feel balanced, recharged and connected.

That’s why we’ve made the Monday before the Melbourne Cup public holiday our Armitage Jones Wellness Day, an extra-long weekend for our team to rest, spend time with family and friends, and do whatever helps them reset.

Fantastic to see the District Living project in the The Australian Financial Review this week.

It’s been a huge few months tendering the District Living project for our client AsheMorgan, and we’re thrilled to officially welcome Kapitol Group as the construction partner on Stage 1 of this landmark development.

Since 2021, we’ve been proud to be part of this transformative journey, helping shape what will become one of Australia’s largest build-to-rent communities.

The two stage project, will deliver over 900 apartments across two buildings, with a strong focus on long-term living, wellness, and sustainability. It’s fantastic to see global investment backing this vision, with Japanese giants Marubeni Corporation, Haseko Corporation, and Mizuho Leasing joining AsheMorgan to bring District Living to life.

Located at 24 Little Docklands Drive, District Living will offer:
- A mix of studio to three-bedroom apartments
- A state-of-the-art wellness centre
- Sky terraces, landscaped outdoor spaces, and retail
- A community-first design approach with sustainability at its core

We’re incredibly excited to see this next chapter unfold and grateful to be part of a project that’s redefining urban living in Melbourne.

Armitage Jones Directors Sonya Miller and Olivia Christie joined industry peers in Perth for this year’s Property Council of Australia Property Congress.

It was a fantastic few days of learning, connection and collaboration, starting with a “Savouring WA with MPA” long lunch, our builder partner in delivering Grill Americano, Sydney. The day began with drinks at Crown’s Crystal Club before a beautiful WA-inspired lunch at The Shorehouse overlooking the ocean. Lunch was followed by networking drinks hosted by the wonderful team at Woods Bagot.

They also joined another wonderful long lunch hosted by Rider Levett Bucknall RLB, NDY and McKenzie Group Consulting at Frasers in Kings Park, the perfect setting for meaningful conversations with our builder partners, consultants and friends in the industry.

Alongside the networking and connection opportunities, this year’s Property Congress delivered some standout business sessions. The highlight was hearing from The Hon. Julie Bishop, who spoke so eloquently - what an inspiring woman! Alongside The Hon. Mark McGowan, they offered thoughtful insights into the global economic landscape and what it means for Australia’s property sector.

Cricket legend Adam Gilchrist also shared stories of resilience, leadership and performance under pressure. His message about mindset truly resonated: “Attitudes are contagious - is yours worth catching?”

From the View from the Top session, key takeaways included:
- More than 100,000 baby boomers are turning 75 each year, ensuring strong long-term demand in the retirement living sector.
- The industry needs to evolve beyond traditional retirement living to a sharper focus on health, wellbeing and lifestyle outcomes.
- This focus and scale are attracting foreign capital investment into Australia’s retirement living sector, as the market matures and portfolios grow in value and sophistication.

Today the team hit the pub to celebrate the end of the week the only way we know how — with a parma, a pot, and a whole lot of laughs.

Special shoutout to who turned up in full Brisbane Lions kit (yes, guernsey and footy shorts) after his beloved Cats fell short in the grand final. A bold move. A brave man. A broken heart.

We may not all agree on footy teams, but we do agree that this is the best way to wrap up the week.
