In episode 1, Waste to Value, industry leaders discuss how renewable gas could help deliver lower-emissions energy while making use of resources that would otherwise go to waste. Great engineering careers often start with an opportunity to connect learning with the real world. So we're proud of our partnership with Monash University which is helping support the next generation of engineers while showcasing the exciting opportunities available across the energy sector.

Recently, we welcomed Erin Holland, recipient of the Jemena Industry Leader Scholarship, and Sara Savahl, winner of the Energy Prize, to our Melbourne office for a behind-the-scenes look at the work involved in delivering essential energy services to Australian communities. During their visit, they met leaders from across our business, toured our Control Room and connected with our current graduates to learn about the challenges, opportunities and career pathways shaping Australia's energy future.

Through our five-year partnership with Monash University, Jemena awards an annual scholarship to a woman studying engineering, helping build industry knowledge, networks and exposure to careers that will play a critical role in Australia's energy transition. We're delighted to support talented students like Erin and Sara and look forward to seeing where their engineering journeys take them next.

Remember Healthy Harold, the friendly giraffe who taught generations of children about making healthy choices? SeeMore might not be as famous yet, but we’re pleased to support him in helping little learners build safety habits for life.

This National Safe Work Month, we’re pleased to support KIDS Foundation with a $10,000 Jemena Community Grant to deliver 40 fun, play-based SeeMore Safety Education sessions at early learning services across the Hunter region.

Around 1,000–1,200 children will learn how to spot hazards, make safer choices and ask trusted adults for help — while 120–160 educators receive resources to keep the conversation going.
Keeping people safe is one of our biggest priorities — for our team members, our customers and our communities.

We're looking for an experienced technology leader to oversee the platforms that support one of Australia's most important gas networks. In this role, you'll lead complex application, data, integration and infrastructure environments, partnering closely with stakeholders to ensure technology delivers safe, reliable and efficient outcomes for our customers and communities.

We're seeking someone who can shape technology roadmaps, guide investment and lifecycle decisions, manage vendor relationships, and work collaboratively with architects, engineers and delivery teams to drive innovation, reliability and continuous improvement. Experience operating in complex enterprise environments, coupled with a strong understanding of risk, resilience and operational technology, will be highly regarded.

Our NSW team put their sporting skills to the test at the NSW Corporate Games, competing across six different sports and bringing home some fantastic results.

🏆 3rd Place Women's Singles Bowling
🏆 4th Place Soccer
🏆 5th Place Netball

Our customers play an important role in shaping the future of our network. Recently, members of our Customer Councils had the opportunity to see that impact firsthand, visiting our community battery and substation in Coburg, and touring our electricity Control Room to gain a deeper understanding of the infrastructure and people working behind the scenes to keep energy flowing.

The tours also explored how the energy system is evolving as more customers adopt rooftop solar, batteries and electric vehicles, and how we are preparing our network to support those changing needs.

Strong customer engagement helps us build a network that reflects the communities we serve. We thank our Customer Council members for sharing their perspectives and helping us deliver safe, reliable and increasingly flexible energy services for customers today and into the future.
