At our Meetup this Monday, Alarna will be hosting special guest Mel from Husk Naturopathy, to answer any health queries that you may have about yourself, your kids or “a friend” 😉

Mel will be here for you to pick her naturopathic brain and to answer all of those health questions you’ve always wanted to ask, especially those ones that have raised their ugly heads in iso.

Monday’s catch up will be a non-judgemental, safe space to get some support and hear about the steps you can take while still in iso and while still restricted. Feel free to DM us your questions beforehand or bring your list on the night. Here’s a few commonly discussed areas below that Mel will likely cover on the night.

Reserve your place on Humanitix.com at Looking forward to seeing you then!

Isolations and issues
I've seen many clients via TeleHealth online video consults who are feeling the effects of iso pretty significantly.
Lots of us in iso are drinking a lot more alcohol and so we are a little more inflamed.
Eating a lot more take away and our digestion is a bit off. Feeling really stressed, anxious or depressed.
Sleep patterns are all over the place. Hair thinning and falling out at a rate never experienced before.
Skin conditions flaring due to all of the above.
Symptoms that they haven't had for years or had resolved, suddenly come back with a vengeance. Not to mention peri-oral dermatitis and acne due to wearing masks.
What are some of the issues you're experiencing if you’re in Melbourne and still in iso? X

This Monday night we’re going to be hosted by Lauren Hunt from First Line Sales Solutions about finding your customers: who is the right customer and the importance of sales funnel planning. It’s going to be another insightful and educational Meetup👏☺️👏
It can be so hard to sell your own work, whether it’s a product or a service; putting your name to something and opening up to criticism and judgement🙈 Lauren is going to help us take ourselves out of the equation and put our commerce hats on💪
Lauren has worked in the pharmaceutical and food industry for over 18 years, driving sales revenue and customer experience across the Asia Pacific region. She now works in her own business supporting business owners to achieve sales success. Lauren strongly believes that achieving sustainable sales is the lifeblood of any business and thoroughly enjoys working with business owners who are innovative and want to level up their business.
Come join us on Monday by registering at the . Free for members and first timers, a small $10 contribution otherwise. Look forward to seeing you there!

As sales professionals we spend a LOT of time building a robust sales funnel.

But what if we spent the same effort in building our professional network. Just like your sales funnel, it needs constant nurturing, building & expanding.

Your network is so valuable, especially in times of uncertainly 🦠, these are the people that hold you up, inspire you and hold you accountable.

I know that 2020 would have been so much more difficult without my network! ❤️

Flashback to one of my happy places: designing workshops with all their intricacies... agenda, templates, worksheets, stationery and equipment, brainstorming stimulus, venue set up, housekeeping, snacks...! I love the anticipation of what a well planned workshop will deliver for participants and the buzz I’ll get out of working with them.

What’s one of your happy places?

Looking for something new to read, listen to, or watch that's been vetted by other women in business?

We've curated a list of some of our favourite books, podcasts and TV shows that are inspiring our members at the moment.

Every week we meet on Zoom to discuss our businesses, our side projects, our ideas and aspirations. Amber Earles, a Social and Environmental Consultant, was one of our special guest hosts last month. The group discussed Localisation; particularly relevant for those of us based in Metro Melbourne where our world has shrunk to a 5km radius. This has, quite possibly, sped up a process of localisation where we buy, play, contribute, connect and work where we live.

We found that we were being even more intentional about purchasing items such as books, bikes, magazines and clothing locally as we wanted to make sure our communities continued to thrive. So we've also included a shortlist of our favourite local shops this time round.

Go to the link in our bio to check them out - you might just find a gem that inspires you too. And please share your reccos in comments, we're always keen to learn, grow, and be entertained.

Thanks to Alarna for the idea to do this👏

Looking for another reason to call in to our Monday Meetup tonight?
👇
"I've yearned to be around inspired, creative, articulate and motivated women and it has been through you that I have met such a brilliant supportive group. You've helped me ignite more than just my Mumma brain but indeed given me the courage to want more and better in how I'm performing and creating."

Monday night is our monthly virtual coworking session with Tracey O'Connor from . Tracey and Sean co-founded the southern Peninsula's first and only coworking space almost 2 years ago and over that time have built up a real understanding of why coworking is so important.

There's a growing number of us on the Peninsula mixing lifestyle with our work, as freelancers, founders, consultants, business owners; and even more of us thinking about or starting side hustles or passion projects.

We have so much on our hands outside of work that when you add procrastination, lack of confidence, and now the isolation from others, it's easy to see why a lot of those big dreams are getting pushed to the back of the priority list. And that's why Tracey's virtual coworking sessions are so important.

They are a chance for you to meet with others on Zoom who can relate to your situation and how you're feeling. An opportunity to talk about what's holding you back or what you can't wait to get stuck into. And then Tracey gives you dedicated TIME to work on that one thing with the accountability of sharing your progress at the end of the session.

It might just get you off and away on a project you've wanted to start for some time or almost given up on. And you wouldn't be the first😉

Register on Humanitix.com (see the link in bio) for the Zoom link. First time joiners and members (just $20 per month) are free, otherwise a small $10 contribution is appreciated. Feel free to DM with any questions - Amy💛

I’m sorry that I’m late… that I didn’t get it done in time… that I didn’t do as good a job as I wanted to… that I’m not paying attention… that I forgot what you said… that I have to cancel... that I didn’t reply straight away... that I’m sending this email so late at night.

I was cooking meals
I was cleaning the bathroom
I was picking up toys
I was fixing the toaster
I was worrying about the future
I was comforting my child
I was working during a 20 minute ‘break’
I was too tired

Something positive to come out of covid is how it’s equalised us all. Yes we all have personal lives! We’ve all got stuff going on that we don’t necessarily share with the world, or even our closest friends. We’re all trying to do our best, and we’re all learning as we go.
*
So now that we’ve said sorry for you, can we all try to apologise less for just being ourselves and start accepting that life is far from perfect (and nor should it be)
*
Ps be unapologetic for crying and being ‘sensitive’. You’re human and we all show our emotions in our own way. It’s good to be vulnerable and it’s healthy to let the tears flow - Amy 💛

Ever wanted to know what we do on the Meetups? Well here it is, a run down on what goes down on Monday nights!

Hosted by the lovely Chloe Lines from www.thecleanlinesco.com.au our main topic was Kindness. Although we always end up having a quick general chit chat about what is going on with all of us, this was the theme for lastnight.

We firstly shared something personal and positive that had happened to each of us this year in our break out groups. So much to celebrate in personable conversations whether it was how we had accomplished getting a new business idea off the ground, starting a course or keeping our goals on track with so many distractions in a tumultuous year.

We then chatted about the state of Kindness in the world and how people struggle to ask for help and or give with out expecting anything in return. With so many people facing hardtimes, the simple acts of kindness can make a big difference to someones day week or even year. It was noted that there is a lot of kindness missing from the world today. The girls then also shared some great experiences with some recent random acts they had witnessed. Some great feel good stories.

We then shared some great podcasts on the topic too. Thanks Kristie 👌

“All in The Mind” podcast on Kindness and Longevity. **Scroll down to ep on 26 July** from

Overall an inspiring virtual call which we all took something away from and gave perspective on how we live our day to day lives.

A big thanks Chloe for hosting. Great topic choice the stories shared gave goosebumps ❤

We also welcomed Giselle from

Thanks to our other kindness contributors:

Introducing our Guest Host for this Monday Nights Meet Up - Chloe Lines from www.thecleanlinesco.com

After an 8-year stint in LA an accidental sea change, Chloe landed in Mornington to settle whilst juggling motherhood. She already had the feeling that there was more to life than the consumer-driven American culture so prevalent in the US. So she began searching and experimenting with a less-waste lifestyle. Chloe has a strong focus on the importance of connection to nature and our earth and the quiet that seems so absent from our lives today.

She is a Volunteer with , Admin of local group and is currently studying a Diploma of Sustainable Living .

Chloe always brings a great perspective and articulate conversations as contributor. If you would like to find out more about her head to her website. She has a must-read blog where she has penned a lot of great content, our personal favourite "Solitude in the time of isolation".

Come along on Monday night as she discusses "Kindness - An Opportunity to reflect and connect!" and or shoot her some questions about sustainable living.

You can register for the Zoom link on our website My Work Life Design New joiners and members are free.
