Sharyn Dean, known around the DHM office as “Shaz,” is a valued member of the Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) team at DHM Partners.

In her role, Sharyn is responsible for the day-to-day administration of SMSF client accounts, ensuring all processes are managed accurately, efficiently, and in line with regulatory requirements. She plays a key role in the smooth operation of the SMSF division, supporting both the advisory team and clients through timely and reliable administrative services.

Her time at DHM Partners has been both enjoyable and rewarding, filled with opportunities to learn new skills, and even the occasional prank from Hamish and Andy. Shaz is excited for what the future holds at DHM, and we are fortunate to have her as part of the team!

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our colleague and dear friend, Martelle.

DHM had the privilege of having Martelle as part of our team for over 18 years. During that time, Martelle made a lasting impact not only through dedication and professionalism, but through kindness, warmth, and a genuine care for everyone around her.

Martelle was more than a colleague she was a valued friend, a mentor to many, and a cherished member of the DHM family. Martelle’s presence brought positivity and strength to our workplace, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Martelle’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

Our office will be closed this Friday, the 24th, as we come together to celebrate Martelle’s life and honour her memory 🤍

Our very own Luke Gathercole has been awarded Life Membership at the Mildura Settlers Cricket Club 🏏

This honour recognises years of dedication, leadership, and genuine commitment to the club.

A true all-rounder both at DHM and on the field for Mildura Settlers — this recognition is incredibly well deserved.

We’re very lucky to have you, Luke 👏

Mildura Settlers Cricket Club – Life Membership Announcement 💙🩵
After a massive week hosting the 3rd Division Grand Final and clubrooms handover to Bambill, we’re a little late sharing this… but it’s one well worth the wait.

At our Presentation Night last weekend, we had the privilege of surprising one of our own with the club’s highest honour - Life Membership.

Congratulations to Luke Gathercole 👏

Life Membership at Mildura Settlers CC is reserved for those who go above and beyond for the club. Luke is the perfect example of this.

🔹On the field
160 games
2,286 runs (with a high score of 99… we are sure he still thinks about the two that was called one run short!)
9 50+ scores where his runs have contributed directly to the club’s performances including Luke’s involvement in premierships.
Unorthodox bowling, long run up… we’ll leave it at that

Statistics only tell part of Luke’s story. He has always played the game in the right spirit leading by example. Luke has supported his teammates - particularly by helping juniors find their way in senior cricket across decades of his playing career. Luke has represented the Mildura Settlers Cricket Club with pride, respect, and sportsmanship in every match he has played.

Off the field, Luke’s service to the club has been outstanding. He first joined the committee in 2004/05 and then took up the key leadership role as Secretary in the 2005/06 season. Luke took on significant responsibility helping keep the club operating smoothly behind the scenes.

Luke has continued to be involved on the Committee for many years. He has been Chairman of Selectors in multiple seasons but in 2011/12, his contribution was deservedly recognised when Luke was awarded Best Club Person in the same year. This honour reflects not only hard work, but also character. It speaks of someone who is always willing to help, who puts the club first, and who embodies the values and spirit of the Mildura Settlers Cricket Club.

Luke’s contribution has never been about recognition. It’s always been about doing what’s best for Settlers. From leading on-field, to countless hours behind the scenes, to now steering the club forward as President. His impact has been enormous.

After time away developing his leadership in baseball at both club and league level, Luke returned with even greater drive and continues to give everything to this club.

This Life Membership recognises years of dedication, leadership, and genuine care for Mildura Settlers Cricket Club.

Please join us in congratulating Luke and thanking him for everything he has given and continues to give to our club.
