STE Engineering Christmas Trading Hours: 🎅🎄

We will be closing at 1pm on Friday the 19th of December 2025 and re-open Monday the 5th of January 2026.

Kmart Prime Build;

The Kmart conversion project involved drafting, workshop fabrication and installation of steel members to support and strengthen the structural integrity of existing buildings.

Installation included structural steel members supporting the ceiling structure and remaining walls, replacing approximately 59m of precast concrete and brickwork walls.

A new structural entrance portal was also drafted, fabricated and installed to support new signage, display and roller shutter systems.

Approximately 10.5T of structural steelwork has been installed throughout the project.

STE Engineering was engaged by GGC to support the delivery of a large-scale solar farm, providing specialized fabrication and assembly services critical to the project’s infrastructure.
Our team was responsible for several key components that ensured structural integrity and long-term performance under challenging ground conditions.


The scope of works included:

•Fabrication of foundations for overhead transmission lines.

•Fabrication of steel liners to support transmission structures on soft ground.

•Fabrication of reinforcement cages for the substation.

•Assembly of rag bolt assemblies for the overhead transmission lines.

The project was delivered smoothly, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality.
Working alongside GGC was a highly positive experience, marked by strong collaboration, clear communication, and a shared commitment to excellence.

Boning Room Upgrade for Tasmania quality meats (TQM)

•TQM came to STE wanting to improve the output by at least 50% to improve ergonomics for their employees, and to also minimise the clean up time.

•STE designed, drafted, manufactured and installed the upgraded conveyer system including all electrical fitouts, programming, mechanical and automation components for the TQM boning room.

•The new processing line is 170 meters with 24 conveyors (using 355 meters of belt).

Malcolm Seymour 15.01.1959-31.01.2025

We remember and honour Mal Seymour, a valued member of the STE Engineering team for 6 years. Mal’s unwavering work ethic and dedication were evident in everything he did. Always willing to lend a hand, no matter the task, Mal’s presence at STE Engineering was a constant source of support and positivity.

We will continue in Legacy of Mal here at STE to make sure every job is “Malisfying “ (as Mal would say)

Though Mal may no longer be with us, his legacy of commitment and generosity will remain a lasting part of the STE Engineering family.
We will continue to remember and be inspired by Mal's example every day.
