Thanks Boonah Tavern for the warm welcome to Ally and Teresa last night 🎶 the third Friday each month is our turn to raise funds for Allandale RFB - as always, patrons generously bought raffle tickets and the happy winners took home beverages, meat trays and a fruit tray from Boonah Fruit Supply 😁 it was a bit quiet last night so we got to enjoy the live music from Matthew Barnes Music and Willow Barnes 😎🎶

Life on the Barkley Tableland this week 🤯🌩️🔥 storms swept through sparking about 10 fires on the fertile grasslands. Today, more lightning strikes but good rain followed to put them out. Phew. Reel courtesy of Peter Cause - cattle yard builder - and brother of our crew member Teresa Storms are early ... slows the work down for sure 😐 but the country loves it!

🌩️⚡️🔥 wow. It's that season already ... storms busting out over dry country. Lightning with no rain is not our friend 😳
The storm cell that delivered 23 soaking mls at Spicers Peak also sparked a bushfire at Croftby about 3.30pm today. Four crew from our brigade plus Mount Alford Rural Fire Brigade and Carneys Creek brought the fire quickly under control.
Nice work everyone 😎🌟 Queensland Fire Department Scenic Rim Regional Council Disaster Management

A few photos from the air ops ground on the Murphy's Creek fire from yesterday. Allandale RFB member Ally took these from her post. Long hard day of supporting the crews in the air and on the ground. Well done Ally - take it easy out there today 😎🌟 Queensland Fire Department Murphys Creek Rural Fire Brigade

Excellent training drills last night! 14 of our crew at training 😎 New recruits working on
induction requirements, including paperwork. Trouble shooting water supply issues plus paired speed drills on pumps on the 51 and 42. And the all important burn over drill.
Good fun, laughs and most importantly - embedding skills for when the real work really counts ... great to welcome Aratula Rural Fire Brigade members for induction on SER72 AKA bulk water tanker. It's been a busy month already for SER72 AKA South East Region 72 water tanker. A critical appliance when bulk water is needed close by the fire ground. Housed at Allandale RFB station at Milford and available for crews in the Boonah Group (with the right HR licence 😎)

Maintenance is key and with a bit of a tweek from Bradley at Mechanics In Boonah and a good wash, SER72 is at the ready!

So much work behind the scenes - it's not just about 💦 on🔥 Queensland Fire Department Scenic Rim Regional Council Disaster Management go team!!!!
