A lot of people know MI for batteries. What they may not know is the engineering hashtag behind the power solutions we develop.

For more than #80 years, has built deep battery knowledge, technical expertise and trusted supply. Over time, the business has also developed substantial engineering, manufacturing, testing and technical capability.

That is why we are to MI Battery Engineering.

The name better reflects the work our people do: helping customersselect, design, build, test and support power solutions for demanding applications.

The heritage and expertise that built MI remain the foundation. Our identity is now catching up with where the business is going.

A little look behind the scenes at MI Battery Engineering.

As , so does the infrastructure needed to support it.
Across our national distribution network, we manage an inventory of more than 25,000 product lines, alongside locally assembled and custom-engineered battery and power solutions.

MHD Supply Chain News recently spoke with Rodney Dunn about the of MI Battery Engineering, our Australian warehouse network and our long-standing relationship with Toyota Material Handling (TMHA) Australia.

The article also touches on something central to where MI is heading: combining the scale of our distribution capability with the engineering and manufacturing expertise to develop custom power solutions for critical and industrial applications.

Thanks to MHD and Toyota Material Handling Australia for sharing the story.
83 years of battery expertise and still building.

Master Instruments has expanded its battery-electric materials handling fleet with two Toyota pallet jacks, supporting growing demand and faster warehouse turnaround.

Powering Australia’s energy transition takes more than generation alone.

Solar power, battery storage and electrification all depend on systems that are selected, integrated and supported for the application.

At All Energy Australia Exhibition & Conference Australia 2026, MI Battery Engineering will be at Stand Q151 with battery, cabinet and power equipment for solar, storage, off-grid and infrastructure applications.

Our team provides nationwide distribution, service and technical support, with custom engineering available for projects that require a battery or power system designed around the application.

Visit us at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, 28 to 29 October.
