Tomorrow at the .au VIC Conference 2026, PF’s Dr Chris Rowell will explore, “The Human Edge: Connecting, Creating, and Leading in the Age of AI.”

As AI takes on more routine tasks, the question isn’t what machines can do - it’s where humans become irreplaceable.

Chris has planned a highly interactive session to unpack the skills and qualities that actually become *more* valuable as technology advances, such as creativity, judgment, and the ability to connect.

He’ll walk through a practical framework for collaborating with AI and making smart decisions about where to invest our finite human energy for maximum impact.

If you’re at Pullman Melbourne on the Park tomorrow, come say hello! 👋

Cant make it? Stay tuned - we’ll be sharing highlights later this week.

🗓️ 2 June, 2026 | Session 2 - 10:35am | AHRI VIC Conference 2026

The leaders building the most adaptive, inventive, resilient organisations right now share one thing.

They’re not the ones with all the answers. They’re the ones who are curious enough to ask the best questions.

As AI grants everyone access to the same knowledge, your competitive advantage lies in your unique human capacities: judgment, imagination, discernment, courage, and, vitally, the curiosity to stay with uncertainty long enough to learn from it.

Curiosity is something you can develop and strengthen, if you choose to.

⁉️ Last week’s AITD Conference in Brisbane saw PF Principal .linthwaite speak to a jam-packed room on curiosity.

Many of the speakers sat with the question of what stays human as we reshape work, learning and leadership in the age of AI. Hayley explored how curiosity, and our ability to question, is one of the most important leadership capacities we have right now.

Thank you to all those who’ve already messaged to say they’re kickstarting their week with more curiosity. Our design team had prepped ASK toolkits as gifts for lucky attendees, and we’re stoked to hear they’re already being put to use!

✴️ If you missed out, we’ll be sharing highlights from the talk very soon. And you can always head to our site to pick up your own ASK cards.

Kudos to Australian Institute of Training & Development - AITD for curating such a thought-provoking three days. See you at the next one!

Learning in the workplace is being made complex by generation change. With 5 different generations coming together in the modern workforce, catering to different learning styles, experiences and needs is a challenge.

Fortunately, how we integrate learning into the way we work is evolving. Let's take a look at the tools at our disposal for more effective and inclusive learning.

“When I think of the best of L&D, it’s about helping everyone find the way that they shine.” Maria Laws. “Career Development is fundamental to our employee value proposition, and learning is a key business metric.” Rajnish Borah. Global Head...

📣 VIRTUAL EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

We're excited to launch a dynamic four part webinar series ‘Tackling Taboo Topics’ starting this August. Each month through to November, we’ll boldly confront the taboos that hinder our potential to thrive.

We’re thrilled to invite you to register for the first session on Thursday 22 August at 12:30pm -1:30pm AEST where we’ll delve into the topic:

You’ll be guided by our expert facilitators and coaches, equipping you with actionable takeaways to load into your professional toolkit to navigate these challenges more effectively.

So, grab a coffee and join us on this transformative journey of discovery and growth.

One thing often derails a successful leadership career…

It’s the siren call of status.

At a certain level of career advancement, people stop being motivated as much by money. Regardless of the salary they reach though, they never stop being motivated by status.

For any aspiring leader, status is something to be contended with in oneself and one’s peers. So, how can you navigate this?

1️⃣ Acknowledge (don’t judge) your motivations - Status playing a role in your motivations is nothing to be ashamed of. But the sooner we confront it face on, the sooner we can begin to navigate how we respond.

2️⃣ Observe where status comes into play for yourself - You might be surprised to find what triggers status considerations.

3️⃣ Observe where status comes into play for your peers - From being challenged on your views to who gets the corner office, notice where it’s uniquely coming up for the people you are working with.

4️⃣ De-status-ify (or don’t) - Sometimes you might even want to bring status into play more to motivate yourself or others in certain ways. Be mindful in how you can frame a situation to neutralise status implications.

Greater awareness of this motivator (and destabiliser) can allow us to be more purposeful and effective.

Are two (or more) leaders better than one?

We’re accustomed to seeing the traditional set up of a lone leader. But is this really the most effective way to ‘do’ leadership?

Bringing in a plurality of voices increases not just the quality of decision-making but available skillsets, networks and strengths.

Our most recent article explores the notion of co-leadership. We've outlined some considerations to making co-leadership work…

🤝 Power is consultative – when there are two leader, the buck doesn’t stop with you – it stops with two (or more).

🤝 Commitment is crucial – leadership groups should show a united front to the world and follow through with what they say they will do.

🤝 Cultivate trust and confidence – without a baseline of trust, goodwill and faith in each other’s abilities and intentions, the team will never succeed.

Are you a part of a co-led company? We’d love to hear your experiences… are two (or more) leading minds better than one?

If feedback is the breakfast of champions, we are feeling mighty full! 🍳

Receiving words like these drives us to do what we do. This came after the completion of a recent leadership program - ELEVATE - led by Performance Frontiers' Senior Associate, Laura Clemesha.

ELEVATE was delivered in partnership with a large retail organisation who had identified a need to develop their senior leadership cohort.

We worked with this fantastic group of humans to equip them with the leadership skills and mindsets to navigate the complex and ever-changing world of retail.

Our leaders left with tangible results including:

✅ Improving their self-leadership across different situations
✅ Effectively influencing their teams and peers to meet objectives
✅ Improving how they partner and work horizontally across the organisation

We feel deeply privileged to partner with leaders, teams and organisations to help cultivate their extraordinary transformation.
