End of year cleanup is full of surprises - forgot about this old school photo album I had and found some great shots.

Here’s a pic of my very first employee in 2007 doing some brush work - something I have never done.

Nearly 20 years later and she has built a career at Tafe NSW Wollongong as head teacher of the signage and painting & decorating departments, and is my manager when I’m rostered on!

Teaching the next generation of signwriters — that’s where my heart’s at.
I’m not perfect, and yeah, mistakes get made. But that’s how we all learn.
It’s not about pretending to have it all together — it’s about showing up, sharing what I’ve learned, and helping the next crew grow with pride in their craft.

Heres’s our 2nd-year apprentice — learning, improving, and stepping up every day.

And our 3rd-year? Just achieved early completion and is now a qualified tradesperson. Moments like these remind me why I do what I do.

Creativity. Excellence. Resilience. Commitment.
Those aren’t just fluffy words — they’re what we live and teach every day.o
