Looking for a Meaningful Job in Mitchell?

ALT Skills is looking for a good person to join our team.
You don’t need to be perfect.
You don’t need years of experience.

But you do need to care about people.

We support local people with disability and older members of our community so they can live well, stay connected, and keep their independence.

Some days you might be helping someone make lunch.
Some days you might take someone to the shop, down at the weir to fish, or help them learn a new skill.

It’s real work that actually matters.

This job might suit someone who:
• enjoys helping others
• is patient and reliable
• likes working with people
• wants a job with purpose

What we can offer
✔ Paid training if you are new to the sector
✔ Flexible shifts
✔ A supportive local team
✔ Work that genuinely makes a difference in Mitchell

If you’ve ever thought:
"I’d like to do something that helps people"-

this might be the job for you.

Congratulations to our latest group of graduates who have successfully completed their certificates in Disability Support and/or Aged Care!

This achievement brings the total to 20 individuals trained by ALT Skills (Access Learning and Training) over the past four years. Many of these graduates had not undertaken formal study for years and initially found the prospect daunting. Despite this, many on our team have pursued further education, ranging from Diplomas to Master's degrees, specialising in fields related to support, including courses such as nursing, community welfare, mental health and Applied Behaviour Analysis.

ALT Skills strongly supports and assists with ongoing education and professional development. We are committed to building a dedicated and determined workforce in the Maranoa region, driven to positively impact the lives of community members who need support.

Innovation to increase participation and improved access to the community.
