Industrial rope access is one of the most versatile and cost-effective solutions to performing work at height and in difficult-to-reach places. By using ropes and abseiling equipment we can reach almost any structure, whether it i

s a building facade, internal shaft, tower or your own unique situation. Governed by safety, versatility and efficiency, rope access is a cost-effective solution to a wide range of access challenges.

• installed access systems

Some structures need a permanent access system. Spidertech can design and install a fully compliant access system to mitigate risk and meet regulatory requirements. We can inspect the site, recommend the most appropriate solution and the install all elements including single-point anchors, horizontal static lines, ladder safety systems, walkways and guard railing.

• confined space access

Confined spaces such as tunnels, pipes, chimneys, silos, shafts and storage bins make for a difficult and potentially hazardous work environment. We can provide job safety analysis, entry permits, gas monitoring, breathing apparatus and rescue/retrieval systems. We can also undertake the required works, providing a complete confined space access and operations service.

Established in 2012, Spidertech Supplies offers a select range of height safety and gas monitoring equipment for industrial use. Highly trained staff will assist when selecting the right gear for the job. Our range of industrial-based equipment continues to expand. If you require an item not currently stocked we can order it directly from our suppliers on your behalf. We offer free quotes, special order conditions and trade credit terms. Spidertech Supplies services all the equipment we sell. Our operations team members are qualified to perform inspections on personal protection equipment and installed systems. We also inspect, service and calibrate gas monitoring equipment. All inspections of personal protection equipment, installed systems and gas monitoring equipment include the issue of an electronic compliance certificate. Equipment can also be serviced onsite if required.

We are Hiring!

Spidertech is Tasmania's leading rope access company and the only IRATA Member company in the state. We have been operating since 1999 and held IRATA Member certification for over 10 years.

We are a growing business and are looking to expand our Operations management team.

The specific details of your role with Spidertech will depend on what you can bring to the table; we have the capacity to define the role based on your specific skills, experience and availability.

We solve industrial access problems - whether working at heights or in confined spaces or any other worksite where access is a prime consideration. We undertake significant projects in the power generation, heavy industry, commercial building and Civil contracting space.

Spidertechs existing Operations management team consists of a small number of experienced IRATA rope technicians with a broad range of industry experience as well as business related skills. Although each member has specialist business management roles, we are all capable of quoting, scheduling, project management, and getting on the tools as required. Whilst building strong and trusting relationships with our clients and fellow workers alike.

We seek the following attributes in our Management team:

- broad industry experience
- outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)
- An ability to learn new skills quickly, particularly in the IT space
- ability to problem solve

Perhaps most importantly you will need to be both self assured and empathetic and share in our vision of creating a fun and dynamic workplace for the whole team.

What a team! Big thanks to this group of legends (plus one not pictured). Currently they're 1 week down of a 4 week shut down at Gordon Power Station.
